🙇🏻♀️ People ask me to pick a niche… so here’s my story so far:
• Started in advertising: late nights, deadlines, campaigns. Thought I had it all… until life said, “Plot twist”.
• Lost my brother → quit my job → launched my first business. Naively brave, scary, unforgettable.
• Tried a few ventures with friends: some didn’t work out, some taught me lessons money can’t buy.
• A design business with an ex didn’t go as planned → learned how to spot red flags, built resilience, and how to pivot.
• Fell in love again with making things with my hands: textiles, natural dyes, fibre arts, cooking and baking.
• Then added teaching, workshops and retreats into the mix. Each niche a new pillar in my story.
• Now I am a lecturer, textile artist, natural dyer, chef & food content creator, workshop & retreat host, and a mother to two fur babies.
I was going in circles for almost two years listening to experts and those around me saying NICHE DOWN or FIND YOUR NICHE. It was only last month that I told myself: you know what, stop listening to others and listen to your heart. I looked inward, thought a lot cried a little, and I think I found the answer:
👉🏻 MY NICHE is… having many niches 😎 I am ✨The Material Girl✨: making, creating, exploring, and loving every messy, colourful part of it. To top it all off, I feel so much happiness in serving all my roles.
