•A short write up: What inspired our Vday Designs this year•
With a hectic wedding season ongoing in the last few months, I found myself stuck in a creative slump. During my recent trip to Taiwan. I took time off to recharge and reconnected with nature. As I was hiking in Alishan, I experienced the healing power of nature and I thought how nice it would be if I could share the goodness of nature with you guys through my flower arrangements. Hence, the colors of the flowers in my Vday exclusive designs this year represent the different emotions I had felt during my hike and I hope that my flower recipients could also enjoy the gentleness of nature through our vday bouquets.

Happy New Year pals ☺️ I realized I have never done a proper introduction on Instagram before. Since many of you are new here, allow me to share abit more about myself and Mente Floreale.

Hi there, my name is Delia 👋 and I’m the lady behind Mente Floreale. Arranging flowers started as a hobby for me when I was studying in university. Right after graduation, Covid took place and it was difficult to find a full time job in my field of study (Sports Science) so I thought why not give this flower business a run and see where it’ll take me. Haha, guess who went too deep in and can’t pull out anymore 🤭

Those who have followed Mente Floreale since the beginning would know that I started running this business from my home located in Hougang. Being a home based business, I had to cope with limited working and storage space. My customers often have to meet me at my block’s void deck / open space carpark for their flower collection (in which some people found it iffy as it wasn’t a proper shopfront). Regardless, I’m so grateful for all the love, trust and support that my past and existing clients showered on this humble small business and helped it to grow and expand over the years. Last January, this small business reached a stage where it can no longer function from home so I moved out and shifted into a studio space that is now located at 12 New Industrial Road. It was the biggest leap out of my comfort zone as I have never done something like this before.

It’s 2025 now, and we’ll be turning 6 years old this year! ☺️ It has been a roller coaster journey filled with many uncertainties but also, endless opportunities to grow, learn, build friendships, and to spread love and joy through flowering.

Today, I’m celebrating a milestone with yall! I took another brave step out of my comfort zone and extended my studio contract for 2 more years.
Honestly, I am not sure how this next 2 years would pan out but I’ll stay hopeful, and look forward to meeting and flowering for yall! ❤️ Thanks so much for sticking around with Mente Floreale. May this year be a fruitful one for all of us! 👋☺️
