« create with heart, not with your head ». A piece of advice I received in Japan, from Ikebana Master Reiko Takenaka, that has stayed with me. I thought about it again recently while creating for a Bar Mitzah at the W Hotel, Sentosa Cove. A young boy who loves football and Rap music, a mother wishing for something elegant … Somewhere in between, the composition found its balance. Ikebana always find a way to adapt, while keeping its essence.

Thank you to Takashimaya and Sogetsu Singapore for the opportunity to decorate the Ngee Ann information desk.
For this installation, I chose to use the Fox Face (also known as ni**le fruit eggplant), a fruit often associated with luck, prosperity and abundance.
Installation on view until February 6th at the Ngee Ann information desk.
