After a long break in France, spending time with my family and friends, I’m now back in Singapore and very happy to return to the studio and see my students again 🌿

Ikebana classes are starting again this week, with the same pleasure as always: creating, observing, learning, experimenting… and above all, sharing a moment together around flowers, branches and leaves.

What I particularly love is seeing how, from the same learning process, each student gradually develops their own eye and their own way of composing.

If you’re curious to discover Ikebana, even with no experience or particular creative skills, you’re very welcome to join me at the studio.

A wonderful demonstration by Akane Teshigahara to close the 60th anniversary celebrations of Sogetsu Singapore.

One composition followed another, each with its own energy, movement and surprise. The audience was completely captivated.

A beautiful and powerful way to end five unforgettable days of celebration.

My first workshop with Akane Teshigahara, Iemoto of the Sogetsu School. A precious opportunity to receive her perspective and guidance on our work, in an atmosphere that was both focused, warm and generous. I particularly appreciated this spirit of transmission, as well as the pleasure of sharing the day with Sogetsu members from different countries for the occasion. These moments also enrich the way I, in turn, guide and support my students at Atelier Reiwa. A wonderful way to begin the celebrations for Sogetsu Singapore’s 60th anniversary.

A rare and meaningful moment for the Sogetsu Community in Singapore. To celebrate 60 years of Sogetsu Singapore, we are deeply honoured to welcome Akane Teshigahara, Iemoto of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. For all of us who study and teach Ikebana, her visit is a precious reminder that this art is a living transmission. One that continues to inspire, challenge and guide us. Her bamboo installation will be presented at Garden by the Bay’s Flower Dome from July 20th to August 26th.

Flowers for my weekend… I have always loved Peonies. In France, they always felt like spring flowers. Beautiful, generous and gone to soon. I saw these in my florist shop in Singapore and simply could not resist. I wish you a wonderful weekend

My new composition for the Flower Dome (Garden by the Bay), as part of the exhibition organised by Sogetsu Singapore. After Paragon, I wanted to move towards something lighter and more graphic. Fewer flowers, more line and more breathing space. The Hydrangeas were part of the brief, to echo the flower Dome’s current floral display. I placed them within Bamboo structure, with palm leaves to bring freshness and rhythm.
