Back in January, i experienced giving the most high-tech workshop! Being a crafter means I’m not in office settings, and have very limited exposure to the latest technology and getting to use them. Thanks to , I got to experience that just for a short while as I taught them a paracord bottle/cup holder workshop. Surrounded by multiple big screens and taking a selfie group photo with a big screen vs just our phones took me completely off guard! I know I used to take such photos with our laptop internal cameras, but I truly live in an analog world most of my days other than using laptop for admin, research, YouTube and to watch stuff. It’s not a bad thing, but sometimes I just feel very backward 😂 As if growing older isn’t making me feel it more apparent. Soooo help me experience the outside world more and engage us for a workshop so we can both learn something new together!

I had this endeavor to take a photo of all the orders that was sent out for LNY and at some point I just dropped the ball 😅 it started out with me wanting to have gratitude for each order that was purchased this season, but I suppose I got too busy and forgot all about this mindful activity I wanted to do. Regardless, here are some that I did take and know that I’m forever grateful for your orders and for being so supportive that our collab with 马年大吉 pieces got sold out! 💛

hope you are enjoying this cny festive season, and walking/ trotting not galloping cos let’s not get ahead of ourselves into the new year! If you’ve not yet recovered from 2025, and still exhausted. And you’re anything like me, who has lesser energy capacity and requires a slower life pace, i hope you include some slow-living habits to your lifestyle and find a balance that works for you in this new year~ our life journey is long, taking time to refresh yourself is permissible, in fact, it’s needed!

Trotted in to the year of the horse with ! 🐎 This round, I worked with suede cords and instead of traditional Chinese knots, they decided a more contemporary style with auspicious charms instead. Trust Miumiu to just be different, effortlessly stylish but still stick to the theme of the occassion.

Sharing with you moments from my 3 days -
me + bright red = not a good look but it is CNY sooo ✌🏼The pictures taken by their team amused me cos they had to ‘zeng’ my face up with a filter as I usually wear v light make up. I am superrrr not use to seeing myself that filtered, so I dare not post the frontal pic. I sent it to some of my friends and the comments were - this is not the Joette I know or I’ve never seen you in this much make up 😂 but you get the gist with the first pic ☺️ They’ve also changed the all black dress code to white shirt this year, not the best look as we all know. I had to dig out old shirts. 😬

First experience with red suede cords and literally it has left me with impressions - red dye pigments. Hopefully that just means I’ll have a good year of the Horse 🧧

This activation also marks the longest I’ve ever done. I’ve been feeling more confident with my energy and immunity levels and decided let’s take the challenge of the 3 days. But with my lower back to hip muscle still on the mends, I was a little doubtful. Thankful that God had given me enough healing and strength to get me through the days! Was even blessed with chamomile tea from that warmed my body and heart 🥰 very grateful to the team of !

And also to .sg for yet another memorable experience.

1 day to the launch of our new rendition of Good Luck Knot! I’ve decided to call it the ‘Angel Lucky Charm’ because it looks like an angel and I like the idea that this charm can be like an angel that will protect you and bring you lots of good and positive vibes for the new year~ 🪽🐎

There will be 2 options of length for you on the top of the knot. Reason being, maybe some of you might want to attach it to your phone as a charm accessory! And so a short top would make better proportions and length for your phone. I will also be selling these heart phone rings. Do find them in my shop to add on if you want to get them!

Again, we are launching this tomorrow, 21st Jan, 9pm!! Hope you’re just as excited as I am 🥳

Custom pieces made in 2025 that’s worth the grams. When I first started out, every piece had a square on my feed. Ffwd 8 years later, that’s become abit of a weird concept. The things we post, and why we post is so different now from back then. The evolution of social media culture. But still I think these are worth a place on my feed! 😊

With every gig that fell through or came through, I trusted that was how much God knew I could handle. 2025 has been a fulfilling year for Knoette! I’ve been the most active as I ever have been, and that couldn’t have happened if not for all of you who chose and gave me the opportunity to unleash my potential! Also, I give myself credit for joining so many pop-ups 🤭😂 doing business online in 2025 showed me that it was a no-go. I had to put and push myself out there, and when I did, I was just so thankful that people came to help, support and were interested in my heartwork. You know who you are, I am so grateful for youuuu all! 💛 also it created a rare opportunity to bring the small macramé community in Singapore together, something I had dreamt of for a long time! 2025 was beyond words. Running a slow-made craft business is still not very sustainable here, but I do it for all these moments because it’s not just about building business for me, it’s about building my own personal moments in life for myself which is way richer! And it brings me more smilesss like in this photo.

Believe it or not, this might be my first photo of myself, in my space taken by someone else! My dad said, we need a photo to at least document this. Cos who knows when the page is going to flip 😊

I’ll be around still this 2026, will you continue to walk with me into the unknown? And let life just happen? It would mean the world to me for you to continue to be around 🥺🫶🏼✨ and watch the stars shine together.
