Matte black fittings against grey marble-look tiles. It's a simple pairing that instantly elevates the whole bathroom.

The rain shower head adds a hotel-like touch, while natural light from the window keeps the space feeling open and airy.

The smallest rooms deserve the same care as the biggest ones, and this one got it.

This flat has been around for years, but you'd never guess it from the space today. Old, tired layouts got swapped for open, functional flow. Worn-out flooring became warm wood tones throughout. What used to feel dated now feels current, without losing that homely warmth older flats are known for.

Every old flat has more life left in it than people think. Sometimes it just needs the right hands.

Instead of a plain doorway, the kitchen opens up through a soft arch.

This small architectural detail instantly makes the transition feel warmer and less boxy. It frames the kitchen like its own little scene, while still keeping the space open and connected to the rest of the home.

The white cabinetry and track lighting beyond keep it bright, a nice contrast to the warmer tones just outside the arch.

Small design choices like this are what separate a renovation from a real transformation.

Behind what looks like a standard overhead cabinet is a pull-down dish rack.

Gas-strut hinges lower it right to counter height, so there's no reaching, no stretching, no standing on tiptoes.

This small detail is a big change for every member of the household, from the kids to the grandparents. And once it's pushed back up, all that clutter tucks completely out of sight behind clean carpentry.

Located in Jurong East, this old HDB flat has been reimagined into a warm contemporary home.

This space pairs warm wood tones with clean white and black highlights, creating a look that feels both cosy and relaxing.

Rich wood tones flow from the living area's flooring to the kitchen's dark-toned cabinetry, while a striking botanical-patterned backsplash adds a touch of character beneath warm under-cabinet lighting. A full-length mirror in the living room opens up the space, drawing light deeper into the room, while soft, patterned curtains filter the afternoon sun throughout the day.

It's a home built on warmth and simplicity, open, thoughtful, and made to hold the everyday moments of the family within.

Step inside this warm contemporary home with our designer as your guide. Once an old HDB flat, this space was transformed under a modest $40,000 budget and an exceptionally tight timeline.

This warm contemporary project began as a well-worn HDB flat, one that had seen decades of everyday living before it came into our hands.

What made this renovation special was the combination of a modest budget under $40k and an exceptionally tight timeline, both of which pushed our team's creativity and precision to new heights.

Despite these limitations, our team approached the space with a clear intention: to keep the traditional essence of an old HDB flat while introducing a modern, contemporary warmth throughout.

Good design. Better cooking space.

Walnut-toned carpentry runs the full length of the kitchen, with a botanical-print tile backsplash that lights up under the concealed cabinet lighting. An arched doorway at the end frames the walk-through into the living room, keeping the same wood tones flowing past the threshold.

This long galley layout gives you unbroken counter space to prep on, storage for every appliance, and room to move freely between the sink, hob, and fridge.

That extra space makes all the difference.

The tight spots in this kitchen got it all planned out.

This section of cabinetry runs slimmer than the rest, deliberately leaving clearance for the drying rack above, which lowers down automatically when it's time to hang the laundry.

A simple floating shelf up top holds a few small plants, while the lower cabinet keeps storage going without eating into the space needed overhead.

Good space planning is all about foreseeing how every part of the home works together.

Look closely and you'll catch the texture.

The warm wood grain, the clean edges, the finish that only comes from real craftsmanship. This console wasn't off-the-shelf. It was built in-house by our own carpenter, cut and finished to fit this exact space, down to the last centimetre.

That's the difference between furniture that fills a room, and furniture that's actually made for it.
