Dear all, just to share a scam alert.

We have a caller to our office and claim to be a teacher in Hwa Chong institute. He say they are looking for supplier to propose to change their existing lightings to LED. He sound genuine and we agreed to meet up for an appointment at the school. Before the appt date, he actually call me up and ask if I could provide paint for him saying that he need paint for his school as well. He claimed that the school have a particular paint code and brand that they need to follow and ask me to help them to check if the paint vendor can sell to them through us as they have a disagreement with the paint vendor. After we assist to help him to check the price and stock he straight away say he need our bank account number to transfer payment and ask if we can help to pay their vendor urgently as they need the paint for inspection later. All these request sound the alarm and we call the school for verification and confirm with the school that it is a scam and many vendors face the situation as well.

I hope by sharing this out we all can be careful and alert and not be a victim of scam.
