Yesterday carried a little extra sweetness🫶🏻

We celebrated the birthday of one of our founders in the simplest way possible ..sharing a muffin and some sweets , a few smiles, and a cafe full of wonderful people.

From little hands 🙌🏼 to experienced ones, kids, young adults, and ladies came together once again, stitch by stitch, to continue creating lap blankets for BCF. Every blanket grows not just with yarn, but with kindness, conversations, laughter, and care.

A birthday, a shared purpose, and a community showing up for one another ..sometimes the most meaningful moments are the simplest 🙂

Another meaningful Thoughtful Thursday at Fengshan Community Club

Last week’s Thoughtful Thursday at Fengshan Community Club was one of those gentle, golden afternoons ..
No big announcements, just familiar faces and new friends settling in, needles clicking, stories unfolding.
We kept crocheting lap blankets for the ladies at Breast Cancer Foundation ..each row a little wish for comfort and strength.

There is something so calming about working side by side. No pressure to talk, but if you did, you were met with kindness. Laughter, tips shared between beginners and aunties who’ve been crocheting for years, and that quiet pride when a blanket slowly takes shape.

🌸 Soulful Sunday #114 🌸

Today’s Thoughtful Thursday at Fengshan Community Club was truly heartwarming 💛

For the first time ever, we had a “happy problem” more volunteers than chairs 🤭😅. The room was filled with so many helping hands 🙌🏼 and kind hearts 🫶🏻, coming together from all walks of life with one shared purpose: to crochet lap blankets for ladies bravely battling cancer.

It was especially lovely to welcome many new volunteers who joined us after seeing our previous post about the donated yarn waiting to be put to meaningful use. Seeing that yarn slowly turn into comforting blankets makes every stitch even more special💕

The energy in the room today was something words can hardly capture ..conversations, laughter, learning, sharing, and so much warmth all around. Moments like these remind us how a simple act of kindness can bring a community together.

We are also slowly sorting through photos from our last three sessions and can’t wait to share them soon 📸🧶💕 Looking back at how far everyone has come …

Session #1️⃣1️⃣2️⃣

Another beautiful Sunday at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Singapore Bugis Junction …filled with conversations, laughter, creativity, and kindness 🤗🫶🏻

While some volunteers spent the afternoon crocheting little smileys to spread happiness forward, others continued working on lap blankets for the Breast Cancer Foundation …lovingly made for women battling cancer.

What makes these sessions truly special is seeing people from all age groups come together so naturally… kids, teens, young adults, men, women ..everyone adding their own warmth and energy to the space 🫶🏻

Today was extra heartwarming as 2 new volunteers joined us after seeing our recent update about the generous yarn donations we received. We’ve also received messages from a few new members who are keen to be part of this meaningful journey.

And the circle keeps growing… a few more volunteers will be joining us this coming Thursday at Fengshan Community Club ❤️💕

Grateful for every helping hand, every shared smile, and every small act of kindness that continues to bring people together🤗🥹🫶🏻💕

Some time back, we were blessed to receive a generous donation of beautiful yarns. We held onto them, waiting for the right opportunity 🫶🏻
a project that could truly weave warmth, comfort, and happiness into someone’s life 💕

Today, that meaningful purpose has come our way.

The Breast Cancer Foundation 🇸🇬 has requested lap blankets for women courageously battling cancer. We are deeply grateful that the donated yarn can now be transformed into something comforting, loving, and useful for these brave women.

Every stitch will carry care, hope, and heartfelt blessings🙌🏼

Here’s our update from Bugis Junction ❤️🫶🏻

Yesterday at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Bugis Junction , we had such a beautiful gathering ..kids, young adults, men, ladies, and middle-aged volunteers all coming together with smiles, yarn, and lots of positive energy 🙌🏼

Some volunteers tried their hands at making smileys 😊, while a few took on the upgraded version of our crochet Sunny Smile 🌞. Others quietly worked on their lap blankets, stitch by stitch, creating warmth with love and patience.

What makes these sessions special is not just the crochet 🧶 but the togetherness 🫶🏻 strangers becoming a community over conversations, creativity, coffee ☕️ , and compassion 🥹

Yesterday reminded us why handmade gifts feel so special. 💐

A father came to us looking for something meaningful to surprise his wife for Mother’s Day and chose this beautiful crochet bouquet, lovingly handcrafted by one of our talented weavers at Weaving Happiness

What made it even more heartwarming was that his young daughter has also been learning crochet with us at Dulwich International College‼️

From learning stitches… to choosing a handmade bouquet for mum together… it felt like such a beautiful full-circle moment‼️

They also joined us during one of our meetups in Bugis …where stories, creativity, and community quietly weave together🫶🏻

Two Sundays. One beautiful purpose. 🫶🏻🤗

The past couple of weeks have been quietly powerful, and we did not want them to pass without sharing 🫶🏻💕

Last Sunday was simple and intimate ..a smaller circle, gentle conversations, and hands moving with intention. Together, we worked on our community projects, stitching not just yarn but care and compassion into every piece. 🧶

And then came this Sunday… full of energy, laughter, and heart 💓
Kids, youngsters, and adults all came together in the most joyful way. Little hands 🙌🏼 and big hearts 💕♥️ worked side by side, creating crochet smileys that will soon travel as tiny messengers of kindness. 😊

Our initiative, , is rooted in one simple idea ..that even the smallest act of kindness can ripple far beyond what we imagine. These handmade creations are more than just crafts; they carry warmth, love, and the spirit of giving 🫶🏻

Some of us also began working on lap blankets for women courageously battling cancer ..each stitch a quiet reminder that they are not alone. 💕

From a small gathering to a vibrant community moment, both days reminded us of the same truth: when we come together with intention, we create something truly meaningful.

Grateful for every hand 🤚🏼 , every smile 😊 , every heart ♥️ involved. Let’s keep spreading happiness… forward 💕
