A café that caters to your personalised nourishment timetable.

Inspired by the rituals of maritime navigation, ayurvedic principles, and the natural cadence of the body, this concept transforms the everyday café into a place of recalibration. A space where movement slows, clarity returns, and every pause becomes part of the journey.

Because sometimes what we need isn't another coffee.

Anchored in South Mumbai.

He sells seashells in the Seychelles on the seashore. 🐚🌴🌊✨
Our latest study trip takes us to the Seychelles, where we're exploring a new territory for us through its landscapes, culture and way of life. Surveying the island beyond the site, from ancient granite coastlines and the biggest seed in the world to local craftsmanship, hospitality and everyday 'life's a beach' rituals. We're building an understanding of the destination before shaping a new way of thinking about barefoot luxury.
Before the first line is drawn, we observe. Because every remarkable place already knows its own story.

Nothing Is Ever Truly New. We simply learn to see it differently

From sculpted cement forms to artist-curated stone compositions, each material introduces its own rhythm, depth, and shadow. A tactile exploration of façade, pattern, and relief where geometry and texture work together to shape the atmosphere beyond the surface. Featuring curated finished and Kalinga stone compositions observed during the visit.

A time machine, hiding in plain sight.
While in Johor Bahru for a branding project, we swung by the museum and followed the blue thread. Histories overlap. Motifs travel. Meanings shift. One reference opens another, revealing connections that are not always obvious at first glance.
For us, provenance is a continuous investigation, an ongoing enquiry into origins, influences and the stories carried forward over time. Some are preserved. Some become mixed. Others are still being uncovered.
This is often where a concept begins. Rarely does the investigation end.

Time machine. No ticket required.

Some spaces don't wait for the night. Every sundowner yearns for that golden hour.
Revisiting one of our recent rooftop bar projects, we're reminded that some of the best hospitality experiences are designed around a moment in time. As daylight softens into dusk, warm light settles across the space, the rooftop opens to the skyline, and architecture becomes part of the evening itself.

Adrift in the flow.
One of our upcoming wellness destination projects explores how architecture can echo the quiet rhythm of water. Floating forms, layered light, and fluid transitions create spaces that unfold naturally, encouraging a slower pace, a sense of release, and effortless movement. Rather than defining each space as a destination, the design allows every experience to flow seamlessly into the next.
A new wellness destination, opening next year.

The Crafted.
One of our recent hospitality concepts explores how branding, materiality, and experience come together to shape meaningful moments.
In a world of instant everything, we believe some experiences deserve to unfold slowly.
Through craft, materiality, and thoughtful detail, the bakehouse transforms everyday touchpoints into moments of discovery designed to be experienced rather than simply observed.
Designed with intention. Crafted to linger.

Captured during our recent site visit to 's quarry in Silvassa, where sculptural forms and natural stone are composed with quiet precision. Organic stone elements anchor the space, while integrated light moves gently across texture and reflection, allowing every junction, surface, and material transition to feel intentional. India has a rich collection of natural stone, forming the foundation of a longstanding legacy of materiality, craftsmanship, and timeless design.

Revisiting Kim Yam Road, where greymatters first began in 2012.

Our first studio drew from the character of a Brooklyn loft, layered with industrial textures, exposed brick, curated artefacts, and pieces brought back from New York.

For almost 14 years, it has been a place for curiosity, conversation, and creativity surrounded by books, warm light, and spaces designed for reflection. Inspired by the quiet discovery found in libraries, it was imagined as a space where creativity could flow freely, allowing ideas to be stumbled upon rather than sought out.

In many ways, it shaped how we think about hospitality today: creating places that invite people to slow down, connect, and discover something unexpected.
