Warm taupe. Soft greige. Oak and marble, running quietly through every room. This is Contours of Calm, a 2,325 sqft resale unit in Holland Village.

This home is shaped around presence, where warm taupe meets cool marble, oak grounds every room, and space is given as much presence as material. The living area has a double-volume ceiling that opens the space up, with a recessed light panel that reads like a skylight at certain times of day. At night, warm lighting built into the carpentry takes over, and the room settles into something quieter.

Even small details, like the coffee counter tucked beside the dining area, were designed to feel like part of daily life rather than an add-on.

Nothing here is loud. It didn't need to be.

Just a home that feels put together, but still easy to live in.

Before the ”after” photos, there’s always this, the mess, the exposed wiring, the dust, the phase that looks nothing like the render. This is normal. Every single project goes through this, even the ones that end up looking flawless.

We think the ugly phase deserves just as much airtime as the reveal. It’s proof that something real is happening, not just a filter or a nice angle.

Coming soon: our landed house project at Jalan Ketumbit. Follow along as it goes from this, to done.”

Lighting is easy to overlook, but it makes a bigger difference than most people expect.

You don’t need expensive decorative fixtures. What matters more is good-quality fittings and a lighting layout that’s actually planned out, not an afterthought.

It’s one of those things worth spending a little more on during your renovation. Get the lighting right, and your home just feels better to live in.

“Do you really need a kitchen island?” Here’s my honest answer for that

If you have the space for it, yes. And here’s why we recommend it:

→ It creates more space to prep and cook. No more fighting for counter space when you’re cooking for a crowd.

→ It adds extra storage to maximise every inch of your kitchen.

→ It doubles as the perfect everyday breakfast counter. Quick meals, coffee, kids doing homework, it earns its keep every single day.

→ It becomes a place to gather. This is the part clients don’t expect, the island ends up being where everyone naturally congregates, not the dining table.

Before you finalise your kitchen layout, we sit down and map out whether an island actually works for your space. Your traffic flow, your counter clearance, your appliance placement. Not every kitchen can fit one comfortably, and that’s a conversation worth having early.

Save this before your layout is locked in. 📌

Design Development is one of the stages we take seriously.

This is where we actually sit down with you. We go through the moodboards, materials, and layouts together, and talk through what works and what doesn’t. Nothing gets picked just because it looks nice on a board, every material, color, and texture here comes from what was discussed during the discovery session.

We’ll show you 3D visuals so you know what the space looks like before any work starts. If something feels off, we change it here, not halfway through the renovation.

It’s part of how we make sure the final space actually feels like yours.

The process matters just as much as the result.

This is Build & Ex*****on, one of the stages in how we work. This is where the actual renovation happens on site, for this landed house.

Our team manages the whole thing from start to finish, with clear milestones along the way so nothing is left to guess. Quality craftsmanship isn’t just something we say, it’s checked at every stage before we move to the next.

A lot of the “wow” people see at the end comes from what happens here, not just the final photos. The planning, the coordination, the small decisions made on site every day.

This is what it looks like while it’s still in progress.

Manhattan Modernity at Landmark is a home shaped around slowness where the mornings arrive gently, the evenings stay quiet, and every detail was pared back until only what mattered remained.

In just 517 sqft, it meant reimagining what a home could hold. A custom partition doubles as a TV feature wall and a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe, while the bathroom becomes a private en-suite retreat, tucked away from view. Walnut wood tones, matte black accents, and crisp white surfaces bring it all together, effortless, curated, unmistakably calm.

Lighting isn’t decoration. It’s the difference between a home that feels flat and one that feels finished.

After 15 years of walking clients through this exact conversation, here’s what I tell everyone before their lighting plan meeting:

→ Warm white, always. Cool white has its place, just not in the spaces you want to feel warm and lived-in.

→ Layer it. Ceiling lights alone will always feel flat, you need ambient, task, and accent working together.

→ Cove lighting along your walls and cabinetry adds depth you can’t get any other way.

→ Statement pendants over your dining table aren’t just pretty, they anchor the whole room.

→ Task lighting matters. Your desk, your kitchen counter. These need bright, focused light, not leftover glow from the ceiling.

→ Don’t forget your feature walls. A shelf, a piece of art, a textured panel, accent lighting is what makes people actually look at it.

This is exactly what we sit down and plan with every client, zone by zone, before hacking even starts. Good lighting doesn’t happen by accident, it’s designed.

Save this for your own reference. 📌

Home, opened unto the skyline. 🤍

When was the last time you really looked out your window? Where your eyes rest on something bigger than your to-do list.

From 3D Model to Reality. Here’s how the kitchen at “Infinite” went from render to reality.

Originally enclosed, we hacked away the walls to open up the kitchen entirely, instantly making the living and dining area feel more spacious and connected. The result is a clean, open-concept layout finished in sintered stone countertops, keeping in line with the home’s monochrome palette of grey, white, and black.
It’s proof that a render is only the starting point, the real work is in translating that vision into a space that actually functions, and feels even better in person.
