Hush started off as a passion project due to our obsessi
on and love for candles. Back in 2014, there was a clear lack of good quality and affordable candles in the local market. Most mainstream candle brands are made from synthetic fragrances that smelled artificial or too overpowering, while luxury brand candles are simply too pricey. At Hush, our main focus was to keep the cost of our products friendly without compromising on quality. We believe in beauty in simplicity. As such, we decided to cut out all the fluff, stick to minimal packaging and keep our products simple and fuss-free in order to pass on the cost savings to our consumers. Working with all natural ingredients has its fair share of challenges too! Essential oils are a lot more pricey as compared to synthetic fragrances. At the start, we spent close to six months sourcing and experimenting with numerous brands of soy wax and essential oils, in order to achieve the optimum scent throw as it is always trickier working with all-natural products. Through countless bouts of trial and error, we officially launched in June 2015 with just three candle scents. The rest they say is history. Over the years, we poured our heart and soul into growing this passion project to what it is today. From our humble beginnings working hard on perfecting recipes in our home kitchen and roughing it out at flea markets, we currently have a modest team of five in our very own studio space, with the very same goal of providing good quality and affordable aromatherapy products. All our products are hand-poured and handcrafted in small batches to ensure quality control at every step of the process. We only scent our products with certified, therapeutic grade essential oils, allowing you to experience the great benefits of aromatherapy when you use our products. Each unique essential oil blend has different aromatherapy properties and they help to improve your overall well-being. These essential oils are carefully sourced from different parts of the world to obtain the best possible scent and best possible quality.
