We all wear masks, every day, not just for Carnival 🎭 Colorful, loud, eye-catching, dazzling… and at the same time so very shallow and empty. But no matter what mask we put on, it is always the eyes that tell the truth. If only we know how to truly look at them.

Every being comes into our lives for a reason. Often, they are here to teach us something. These teachers come in many shapes and forms.
For me, they are often horses🦄
Every horse that has entered my life has taught me something. The ones that taught me the most were the stubbornest, the most demanding, and the most sensitive. They often triggered a whole spectrum of emotions, anger, disappointment, impatience. Looking back now, all of that has transformed into perseverance, patience, and the understanding that nothing can be achieved overnight.

Still can’t quite believe it… ✨✨✨

My painting “Moonlight Freedom” received the 1st Prize – Purchase Award of Lipica Stud Farm at this year’s Kras Ex-tempore 2025.

Honestly, I never expected this. I was among many experienced and academically educated artists, so the jury’s decision truly surprised and deeply honored me.

This was my first Ex-tempore, and also the first event where I presented my work to a professional jury, which makes this award a meaningful encouragement and a confirmation of my artistic path.

My sincere thanks to the organizer “Kulturno društvo Kras”, the jury (Ana Maria Stibilj Šajn, Polona Škodič, Danijel Demšar) and Lipica Stud Farm for an excellently organized event and for providing a space where art is truly valued.

Special thanks to my family and friends who support me and believe in me 🤍💜💙

Today FB reminded me of a moment from 6 years ago…
I was in the Netherlands, riding horses and living in an apartment above an art gallery

One evening, the gallery owner came upstairs, handed me paper and charcoal, and said: “Here, maybe you’d like to draw.”
I laughed and replied: “Oh, no…”
And she smiled back: “You never know.”

Later that night, I picked up the charcoal and drew a mermaid🧜‍♀️

And now—six years later—painting is part of my every day 🤍

It’s true: YOU NEVER KNOW where one small moment might lead you in life.
