In the past week, we had the opportunity to attend a trade fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), where we met with our business partners, exchanged ideas and explored the latest trends and innovations in the lighting industry.

One of the highlights of our visit was the first-ever presentation of our new LUM CARE luminaire, specifically designed for healthcare environments.

It was a great opportunity to strengthen our partnerships, build new connections and showcase our innovative lighting solutions on the international stage.

Pungrt Sports Hall, Šmartno pri Litiji

The lighting renovation at Pungrt Sports Hall reduced energy consumption by 70%. The existing lighting system consisted of 51 HQL luminaires (400 W each), resulting in high energy consumption, long start-up times and limited lighting control.

As part of the complete lighting renovation, we implemented:
- 67 H LUM LED luminaires (100 W each)
- DALI lighting control system
- Adjustable lighting scenarios for different sports activities and events

The result? 70% lower energy consumption, instant switch-on and flexible lighting control adapted to the hall's use.

Sports Park, Ivančna Gorica

For the Sports Park in Ivančna Gorica, we developed a lighting solution focused on providing appropriate illumination for sports activities while minimizing unwanted light spill into the surrounding environment.

The project included lighting calculations, luminaire supply and the design of a central lighting control system. Careful luminaire selection, precise optics and lighting design were key to directing light where it is needed and reducing light pollution.

At the event, we introduced LUM CARE, our new medical luminaire designed to meet the specific lighting needs of healthcare spaces.

The City of Karlovac needed to modernize its energy-inefficient public lighting, reduce maintenance costs and enable centralized lighting management.

Lumenia delivered a comprehensive solution, including S LUM GEN 3 and decorative luminaires, retrofit modules for existing housings, lighting calculations and technical support. The smart-ready system enables remote monitoring, diagnostics and optimization of the public lighting network.

LED retrofit: replacement or optimization?

Replacing conventional lighting with LED technology already delivers significant energy savings. But the right lighting design can take those savings much further.

In this high-bay warehouse, the existing installation consists of 111 luminaires with 12.876 kW power. A 1:1 LED replacement reduces power to 4.884 kW.

By redesigning the lighting and using H LUM luminaires with optics adapted to high-bay racking, only 36 luminaires are required, reducing the connected power to just 2.52 kW.

The result: fewer luminaires, significantly lower installed power and lighting designed specifically for the space.

An efficient LED luminaire saves energy. The right lighting design saves even more.
