One small detail can completely change the final result.
Both baskets were crocheted using the same 9 mm cord and the same 30 cm wooden base.
The only difference?
🧶 Beige basket – 8 mm hook
• firmer structure
• used approx. 2.5 skeins
🧶 Pink basket – 12 mm hook
• larger basket
• airier look
• used approx. 3.5 skeins
Why did the pink basket use one more skein?
The larger hook creates bigger stitches, making the basket wider. To keep the same proportions, more rows are needed – which also means using more cord.
The hook size doesn't just change the look. It also affects the basket's firmness, size and yarn consumption.
