تم تأسيس مشروع أرتيزانا في عام 2010 لتسلط الضوء على الحرف والصناعات اليدوية التي تمثل جانباً هاماً من جوانب الاقتصاد والتراث السوري وذلك من خلال تشغيل الورشات الصغيرة أي الحرفيين لتصنيع منتجات مميزة وخاصة لمشروع "أرتيزانا". كما تهدف إلى التعريف بالإرث الثقافي لسورية بصورة عصرية جاذبة. فالفن الموروث قد لا يفي وحده بالغرض فالمواكبة العصرية أمر لا بد منه كي نستقطب المشتري السوري كما الأوروبي كما الزائر العربي.
تختص أرتيزانا بتصميم وتصنيع هدايا خاصة ومميزة مصنوعة بشكل يدوي، وذلك بصنع مزيج من العناصر الأساسية المكونة للصناعات الشرقية السورية كالعلب الخشبية, قماش البروكار, الصدفيات, الموزاييك, الزجاج الملون, النحاس ... إلخ
