S65 House Renovation
บ้านหลังนี้เป็นการรีโนเวทจากบ้านเดิม โดยเราเลือกที่จะเก็บโครงสร้างและภาษาที่เรียบง่ายของบ้านไว้ แล้วปรับพื้นที่และองค์ประกอบบางส่วนให้ตอบรับกับการใช้งานในปัจจุบันมากขึ้น

หนึ่งใน intervention หลักคือการ ต่อปีกหลังคาออกมาบริเวณด้านหน้าบ้าน เพื่อสร้างพื้นที่กึ่งภายนอกที่เชื่อมต่อระหว่างตัวบ้าน สวน และสระว่ายน้ำ พื้นที่ส่วนนี้จึงกลายเป็นพื้นที่ใช้งานที่ต่อเนื่องจากภายในบ้าน และช่วยให้กิจกรรมต่าง ๆ สามารถขยับออกมาอยู่กับพื้นที่ outdoor ได้มากขึ้น
ใต้ปีกหลังคาถูกเติมด้วยชุด louver ที่สามารถหมุนปรับองศาได้ โดยไม่ได้จัดวางเป็นจังหวะที่สม่ำเสมอ แต่เลือกวางให้เกิด rhythm ที่ดูเป็นอิสระ และสัมพันธ์กับพื้นที่ภายในบ้าน

บริเวณที่ตรงกับช่องหน้าต่างจะใช้ louver ที่มีจังหวะถี่ขึ้น เพื่อสร้าง privacy ให้กับแต่ละฟังก์ชัน ขณะที่บริเวณที่ไม่จำเป็นต้องปิดบังมากจะเปิดจังหวะให้โปร่งขึ้น ทำให้แสงและมุมมองจากภายในยังสามารถเชื่อมต่อกับสวนและสระว่ายน้ำได้

ความแตกต่างของจังหวะเหล่านี้จึงไม่ได้เป็นเพียงเรื่องของการใช้งาน แต่ยังกลายเป็น pattern และ character ใหม่ให้กับบ้าน เปลี่ยน façade สีขาวที่เดิมค่อนข้างเรียบและนิ่ง ให้มีมิติและความเคลื่อนไหวมากขึ้น โดยยังคงความเรียบง่ายของบ้านเอาไว้

วัสดุถูกเลือกให้อยู่ในโทนที่สงบและเป็นธรรมชาติ — สีขาว ไม้ และโทนธรรมชาติ — เพื่อให้ส่วนที่เพิ่มเข้ามาไม่รู้สึกแปลกแยกจากบ้านเดิม และยังคงบรรยากาศที่เรียบง่ายของบ้านไว้

การรีโนเวทครั้งนี้จึงไม่ได้มุ่งเปลี่ยนบ้านเดิมให้กลายเป็นบ้านใหม่ทั้งหมด แต่เป็นการ เติมองค์ประกอบใหม่ที่ช่วยให้บ้านเดิมมีวิธีการใช้งานที่ดีขึ้น พร้อมกับสร้าง character ใหม่ให้กับบ้านอย่างเรียบง่าย

This house was renovated with an approach of retaining the simplicity of the existing home, while introducing a few new elements to better respond to the way the house is used today.

One of the main interventions is the extension of the roof canopy at the front of the house, creating a semi-outdoor space that connects the house with the garden and swimming pool. The new space extends the living areas toward the outdoors, allowing everyday activities to move more naturally between the interior and exterior.

Underneath the extended canopy, a series of rotatable louvers was introduced. Rather than following a uniform rhythm, the louvers are arranged in a more spontaneous pattern, responding to the functions and openings behind them.

Where the louvers align with windows, they become denser to provide privacy for each interior function, while more open areas allow greater connection to the garden and swimming pool.

These variations in rhythm are not only functional. They also create a new pattern and architectural character for the existing house, adding depth and movement to the previously simple white façade without changing its overall language.

The material palette remains deliberately restrained — white, timber, and natural tones — allowing the new elements to sit naturally with the existing architecture and surrounding landscape.

Rather than transforming the house completely, the renovation is about adding the right elements to give the existing home a new way of living, while creating a new character through simplicity.

ตรวจความคืบหน้าไซท์งาน
บ้านสามชั้นที่หยิบ “ภาษาของบ้าน Tropical” มาตีความใหม่ ผ่านหลังคาจั่วที่ไม่ได้ทำหน้าที่เพียงสร้างเอกลักษณ์ให้กับตัวอาคาร แต่ยังช่วยสร้างพื้นที่โปร่ง ทำให้เกิดพื้นที่ double volume เพิ่มความต่อเนื่องของพื้นที่ รับแสงธรรมชาติ และส่งเสริมการระบายอากาศภายในบ้าน

วันนี้โครงสร้างเริ่มเผยให้เห็นสเปซที่เคยอยู่ในแบบ ค่อย ๆ กลายเป็นความจริงทีละส่วน และเป็นอีกหนึ่งช่วงเวลาที่ทำให้เราเห็นภาพของบ้านหลังนี้ชัดเจนขึ้นในทุกครั้งที่เข้าไซต์

S39 House Renovation

"การรีโนเวตครั้งนี้ไม่ได้ 'เปลี่ยน' บ้านเดิม แต่เลือกทำให้สิ่งที่บ้านมีอยู่แล้วชัดเจนขึ้น"

Character ของบ้านเดิมเป็นจุดตั้งต้นของการออกแบบ หลังคาทรงชันซึ่งเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของบ้านยังคงถูกเก็บไว้ ขณะที่องค์ประกอบใหม่ถูกเติมเข้าไปอย่างพอดี เพื่อสร้าง Character ใหม่ที่ต่อยอดจากคุณค่าของบ้านเดิม มากกว่าการแทนที่ทุกอย่างด้วยสิ่งใหม่

วัสดุที่คุ้นเคยในสถาปัตยกรรมบ้านไทย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นหลังคาไม้ พื้นอิฐ ประตูและหน้าต่างไม้ บล็อกลม และโครงสร้างไม้ ถูกเลือกใช้และจัดวางใหม่ภายใต้แนวคิด Modern Tropical เพื่อเชื่อมโยงความทรงจำของบ้านในอดีตเข้ากับวิถีชีวิตร่วมสมัย

การออกแบบให้ความสำคัญกับการสร้างความต่อเนื่องของพื้นที่ทั้งในแนวราบและแนวตั้ง พื้นชั้นล่างถูกออกแบบให้เชื่อมต่อจากหน้าบ้าน ผ่านพื้นที่ภายใน ไปจนถึงลานหลังบ้านด้วยวัสดุเดียวกัน เพื่อลดเส้นแบ่งระหว่างพื้นที่ภายในและภายนอก ขณะเดียวกัน โถงสูง ช่องแสง Skylight และบันไดใหม่ ช่วยเชื่อมต่อทุกระดับของบ้าน พร้อมนำท้องฟ้าและแสงธรรมชาติเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการอยู่อาศัย ทำให้พื้นที่ภายในโปร่งโล่งและเชื่อมโยงกับภายนอกมากยิ่งขึ้น

การรีโนเวตครั้งนี้จึงไม่ใช่การสร้างบ้านหลังใหม่ แต่เป็นการต่อยอดคุณค่าที่บ้านมีอยู่แล้ว ผ่านการออกแบบที่สร้าง Character ใหม่ ซึ่งยังคงเชื่อมโยงกับ Character เดิมของบ้าน และตอบรับกับวิถีชีวิตในปัจจุบัน

*"This renovation wasn't about replacing the house—it was about revealing what was already there."*

The existing character of the house became the starting point of the design. Its distinctive steep-pitched roof has been carefully preserved, while new architectural elements are introduced with restraint, creating a renewed identity that builds upon the home's original qualities rather than replacing them entirely.

Familiar materials found in traditional Thai residential architecture—including timber roofing, brick flooring, timber doors and windows, breeze blocks, and exposed timber structures—have been reinterpreted through a contemporary **Modern Tropical** approach. The result is a home that bridges the memories of the past with the way we live today.

The design emphasizes spatial continuity in both the horizontal and vertical dimensions. On the ground floor, the same flooring material extends seamlessly from the front entrance through the interior and into the rear courtyard, softening the boundary between inside and outside. Vertically, a new double-height space, skylight, and staircase connect every level of the house, bringing daylight and the sky deep into the interior while enhancing openness, natural ventilation, and the relationship between the home and its surrounding landscape.

Rather than creating an entirely new house, this renovation celebrates and extends the value of the original architecture. It introduces a new character that remains deeply connected to the home's identity while adapting it to contemporary living.

Khun Ton & Khun Bua House

บ้านที่เริ่มต้นจากคำถามง่าย ๆ

"จะทำอย่างไรให้ทุกพื้นที่ของบ้านได้อยู่ใกล้ธรรมชาติมากที่สุด"

บนที่ดินในย่านเมืองหาดใหญ่ ความเป็นส่วนตัวคือโจทย์สำคัญของการออกแบบ ทีมงานจึงเลือกวาง Private Courtyard ไว้เป็นหัวใจของบ้าน และจัดวางอาคารทั้งสองฝั่งให้โอบล้อมพื้นที่สีเขียวไว้ตรงกลาง

Courtyard จึงไม่ได้เป็นเพียงสวน แต่เป็นพื้นที่ที่เชื่อมโยงทุกกิจกรรมของการอยู่อาศัย ทั้งห้องนั่งเล่น ห้องรับประทานอาหาร และห้องต่าง ๆ ภายในบ้าน ต่างเปิดมุมมองเข้าสู่พื้นที่สีเขียวเดียวกัน ทำให้ธรรมชาติกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตในทุกช่วงเวลา

นอกจากสร้างความเป็นส่วนตัวจากบริบทโดยรอบแล้ว การวางผังลักษณะนี้ยังช่วยนำแสงธรรมชาติและลมเข้าสู่พื้นที่ภายใน ทำให้บ้านโปร่ง เย็น และน่าอยู่ตลอดทั้งวัน

บ้านหลังนี้จึงไม่ได้ถูกออกแบบให้เพียง "มองเห็นสวน" แต่ถูกออกแบบให้ "ใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับสวน" ในทุก ๆ วัน

Adaptive Reuse : เมื่อธนาคารเก่ากลายเป็นบ้าน

การรีโนเวตครั้งนี้นอกจะจะเป็นการปลี่ยนอาคารธนาคารเก่าให้เป็นบ้าน แต่เป็นการตีความคุณค่าของพื้นที่เดิมขึ้นใหม่อีกครั้ง
โครงสร้างหลักและเอกลักษณ์สำคัญของอาคารยังคงได้รับการเก็บรักษาไว้ ขณะเดียวกันก็เติมเต็มด้วยแสงธรรมชาติ ความเป็นส่วนตัว และฟังก์ชันที่ตอบรับวิถีชีวิตของเจ้าของบ้าน
ผลลัพธ์คือบ้านที่เชื่อมโยงอดีตและปัจจุบันเข้าด้วยกัน ผ่านงานออกแบบที่เคารพเรื่องราวเดิมของสถานที่ พร้อมปรับเปลี่ยนให้เหมาะสมกับการอยู่อาศัยในวันนี้
