In recent years, familiar elements from the past have returned through new interpretations in fashion and art, adapted to contemporary contexts and tastes. The same is true of furniture design, where the appeal of past designs lies not only in their appearance but also in ideas that remain relevant today. Four designs from the 1970s by Acerbis Design, Parioli, Free System, Jot, and Sheraton have been reissued, preserving their original details and concepts within a contemporary context.

Different materials respond to moisture in different ways. Understanding their properties is key to caring for and restoring furniture properly.

• 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱: Prolonged exposure to water can cause swelling or warping, especially in plywood. Solid wood can be cleaned and air-dried in the shade.
• 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: Gently wipe clean and let it air-dry. Avoid direct sunlight and heat, which can cause leather to dry, harden, or crack.
• 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹: Moisture can lead to rust. Wipe dry and check carefully, especially around joints and exposed areas.
• 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰: Water can seep into cushions and inner layers. Make sure the inside is completely dry before use.
• 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 & 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: While they are non-absorbent, dirt and residue may remain on the surface. Clean thoroughly and check for cracks or damage before use.

The return of 𝗔𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 with 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗶, designed by 𝗟𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘀, begins with a simple question: can a cabinet be more than just storage? The result is a balance of function and proportion, bringing the spirit of the original 1971 design into the present.
