19 c. Piedmontese Louis XV Secretaire

Also called a 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘶 𝘥𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘦, this is an elegant antique inlaid desk, reminescent of the manner popularized by cabinetmaker Pietro Piffetti (Turin, 1700-1777).

The fall front features floral marquetry decoration and opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeon holes, two small drawers likewise inlaid and a writing surface.
The bureau is gracefully raised on slender cabriole legs, themselves embellished with fine inlay over a curved surface.

A particular stroke of genius is the large lower drawer, whose expertly shaped front edge is cunningly disguised within the profile of the serpentine apron, enhancing the piece's harmonious and fluid lines.

A Venetian Murano 6 Lights Chandelier

Precious hand-blown Murano glass chandelier, distinguished by its warm amber tonalities. The design features a central stem from which six gracefully hollowed out arms extend, each fitted with a light and a glass bobeche.

The fixture is adorned with an abundance of intricately crafted leaves and flowers, all demonstrating exemplary glassblowing techniques. The subtle texturing of each glass element is masterfully executed, resulting in a captivating play of refracted light.

The artistry is particularly evident in the realistic folding of the leaves and the delicate formation of the flowers.

Imported directly from Italy, one available, the chandelier is in excellent condition and ready for installation.

Louis XVI-Style Painted and Giltwood Console – Italian

This exquisite Italian giltwood console table exemplifies neoclassical elegance, retaining its original painted and gilded finish.

The piece features its original demilune Brèche marble top, gracefully positioned above a delicate meandering frieze adorned with foliate paterae. The table is raised on turned, fluted legs with classical acanthus leaf and bead carvings.

The absence of a stretcher lends this model a particularly light and contemporary feel, while its shallow depth enhances versatility, perfect for entrance halls or condominiums where space is at a premium.

18 th century. Authentic antique engraving, with parts heightened in watercolor, titled:

Le Concert Provost, L., d'après Augustin de Saint-Aubin

At the bottom can be read:
Le Concert. A Madame La Comtesse de Saint Brisson. Parson trés humble et trés oveissant Serviteur Duclos.

Of artistic significance, a similar watercolored copy is kept at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, with reference number 1957.235

Rare pair of antique gilt and lacquered chairs, showing beautiful regional variants of mainstay late Louis XV and early Louis XVI (Transition) features, placing them at the end of the 18th c.

Wonderful interpretations of carved oak leaf motifs, which are adapted throughout the design of the chair, front and back, in different iterations.

In excellent condition: the chairs have been newly padded and reupholstered with Jim Thompson Fergana Textiles.

Highly decorative collectors pieces, also on account of the removed back seat allowing the upholstery to show from many angles.

For reference: similar chairs can be seen in the main hall of Palazzo Borromeo, Isola Bella (Italy).
