BA House explores how an existing structure can be transformed through precise architectural interventions rather than complete replacement. The diagrams illustrate the key steps of the renovation: removing non-structural façade elements, reinterpreting the building’s circulation and spatial hierarchy, and integrating new architectural layers with the original volumes.
Through this process, the house shifts from a fragmented and inward-looking configuration to a more open and functional spatial organization. New façade elements and spatial connections clarify the geometry of the building while improving daylight access and livability. Greenery is also integrated into the architecture through a green roof and planter boxes along the façades, extending planted surfaces vertically and softening the building’s sharp geometry. The project demonstrates how careful subtraction, reprogramming, and integration can allow an existing house to evolve without losing its identity.
BA Evi, mevcut bir yapının tamamen yeniden inşa edilmesi yerine, hassas mimari müdahalelerle nasıl dönüştürülebileceğini araştırıyor. Diyagramlar, yenileme sürecinin temel adımlarını gösteriyor: yapısal olmayan cephe elemanlarının kaldırılması, dolaşımın ve mekânsal hiyerarşinin yeniden yorumlanması ve yeni mimari katmanların mevcut bina hacimleriyle bütünleştirilmesi.
Bu süreçte yapı, parçalı ve içe dönük bir kurgudan daha açık ve işlevsel bir mekânsal organizasyona dönüşüyor. Yeni cephe elemanları ve mekânsal ilişkiler, yapının geometrisini netleştirirken gün ışığı erişimini ve yaşam kalitesini artırıyor. Aynı zamanda yeşil çatı ve cephelerde yer alan saksı sistemleriyle bitkilendirme mimariye entegre edilerek bitkisel yüzeylerin düşeyde devamlılığı sağlanıyor ve yapının keskin geometrisi yumuşatılıyor. Proje, dikkatli çıkarma, yeniden programlama ve bütünleştirme stratejileriyle mevcut bir yapının kimliğini kaybetmeden nasıl evrilebileceğini ortaya koyuyor.
