In 2022, I completed a North Carolina residence featuring Shou Sugi Ban, a traditional Japanese charring technique, for its interior and exterior cladding.
Shou Sugi Ban provides a sustainable and durable alternative to chemically treated wood, enhancing the home’s longevity and aesthetic appeal.
The partial diagram, featuring understandable renderings, illustrates the living area section of the project. This space includes access to an outdoor area that extends seamlessly into the natural corridor, allowing for plenty of natural light to pe*****te the interior.
