Stone. Olive trees. Aegean light.

A boutique resort concept for the Turkish coast — 24 keys built into the hillside, not placed on it.

White limestone. Ancient olives. Marble pool coping.
Bougainvillea overhead. The sea at every turn.

Every material local. Every view earned.
Every space designed to be lived in — not just seen.

I’m loving that architecture is finally having its science-fiction moment.

I’ve been watching the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in LA for years, and with the opening now set for September 2026, it feels like we’ve moved past the era of dull, rectangular museums. Designed by Ma Yansong (MAD Architects), the building appears less like a traditional structure and more like a metallic cloud floating above Exposition Park.

The story that hooks me: George Lucas didn’t want a "Star Wars museum." He wanted a "palace for storytelling." The design mirrors that intent it avoids hard edges and abrupt breaks. Everything flows, feels biomorphic, and is a little surreal. Why it matters:
-The “Lift”: instead of a monolithic barrier to the park, the museum actually rises, so you can walk beneath it into a vast, shaded public plaza.
- The Collection: truly "the people’s art," about 40,000 pieces, from Norman Rockwell and Frida Kahlo to comic-book pioneers and movie artifacts.
- The Roof: essentially a new park crowning the building, adding 11 acres of much-needed green space to South LA.

Some call it overly theatrical, but I want more buildings that take risks and spark the imagination.
If a museum about storytelling doesn’t look like a dream, what’s the point? I’m curious, do you dig this “spaceship” vibe, or should architecture stay rooted in more traditional, grounded forms?

Urban design is at its best when it feels like it belongs.

I’ve been exploring KCAP’s Sibeliuspark project, and it’s a masterclass in "landscape-led urbanism." Instead of just placing buildings next to a park, the design weaves greenery, pedestrian routes, and mixed-use spaces into one integrated fabric.

Why this project stands out:

Connectivity: It prioritizes walkability, making the city feel more human-scale.

Biodiversity: It’s a considered reimagining of urban green space that lets the environment breathe.

Cultural Resonance: The design rationale stays deeply sensitive to the local context.

It’s a powerful example of how thoughtful planning can link public life with modern development. Swipe through the plans and renderings to see the vision behind the "integrated urban fabric."

What’s your take—does this represent the future of the cities we want to live in?

🌟 Building Dreams: An Inclusive Oasis for Rehabilitation and Care 🏡

Step into a world of compassion and care, where every step is a step toward healing and hope. This remarkable project is more than just a building; it's a symbol of support, inclusivity, and community.

👶 On the ground floor, child development support and nursery facilities blend seamlessly into a courtyard, where the laughter of children echoes through the air. Slides, halls, and playgrounds create a haven for kids to grow, learn, and thrive. An ancient Konara oak tree stands as a testament to the seasons and history, adding to the beauty of this oasis.

👩‍⚕️ Moving up to the second floor, a pediatric clinic awaits on the north side, providing stability and care. Playrooms, rest areas, and respite rooms for parents surround a tranquil courtyard, offering solace and comfort.

🏡 The exterior of this building is a bridge to the local community, with open views to the streets and the nearby park. It's designed to seamlessly blend into the residential district, becoming an integral part of the neighborhood.

💫 Inspired by the acorn caps of the Konara oak tree, the roofs and canopies are adorned with diamond shingles made of durable copper roofing sheets. It's not just a building; it's a symbol of longevity and community contribution.

🌿 Inside, the environment is a sensory delight. Wood flooring, painted walls, and radiant heating create a soothing ambiance for touch, sight, and mind. It's a place where comfort and care go hand in hand.

Join us in celebrating this inclusive oasis, where hearts heal, dreams thrive, and communities unite. ❤️🏥

Embark on a journey of architectural innovation and culinary delight at the Mayora Head Office Canteen! 🍽️ With a vision to create a retreat-like escape for employees, this masterpiece seamlessly blends tranquility and functionality.

🌳 Nestled within a vast landscape garden, the canteen embraces an organic design that harmonizes with nature. Mimicking the curves of the main head office, it's a true masterpiece of unity.
