Always happy in this quiet space.

I seldom have the opportunity to see where my lamp shades go, the rooms they adorn. With AI, I can create my own unique space to showcase the beauty of these custom lamp shades.

My client fell in love with a black and white shade on an iron base and inquired about purchasing same. We do not manufacture iron bases anymore and the one in the first picture shown was owned by the client; I just provided the lamp shade. She wanted something special for a friend who recently fulfilled her dream of home ownership. Lucky her. I had in storage one of the last wrought iron lamp stands my father made, still in its raw state which I was able to offer her along with a custom drum lamp shade. Simple process over WhatsApp, a rendering of what I could offer, fabric selection and the end result. This piece can be used in multiple spaces; not limited to living room and bedroom.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the burgundy and gold lamp shades....but there was a whole lot more right with the BOLD PAISLEY DRUMS!
Don’t be afraid of vibrant colours and bold patterns.

Non traditional recovery of a Victorian Carousel. These lamp shades are traditionally done in off whites and creams. The metallic striped fabric had to be incorporated into the lamp shade to coordinate with the room. Originally the request was for the full shade to be covered this way but the fabric lacked the stretch required. Using it on the crown and the scalloped edge added a few more hours of work but I am very happy with the results.

I suppose brown is a colour too but this recovery job brings sunshine and warmth to the room.
