The Pentax Espio 928 stands out as a highly regarded point-and-shoot camera, packed with an impressive array of advanced features that were rare for mid-1990s compact zoom cameras.

Some of the most compact zoom cameras of the 1990s started at a somewhat narrow focal length, like 35 mm or 38 mm. The Espio 928 features an SMC Pentax 28–90mm lens, offering a true 28mm wide-angle perspective. This makes it significantly better than its peers for shooting landscapes, architecture, street photography, and tight group shots.

At 28mm, the lens has a maximum aperture of f/3.5. This is considered quite fast for an integrated zoom point-and-shoot of this era. It allows more light into the camera, making it much more capable in lower-light situations without immediately forcing the flash to fire.

The purchase includes a battery, an original carrying case, and one roll of 35 mm that you can develop at the shop.

Vintage Asahi Pentax Camera Kit

Vintage Asahi Pentax SL 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera with a Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8 lens. Asahi Pentax SL in a rare black finish. Made in Japan between 1968 and 1971. Fully mechanical and manual light meter: This model has no built-in exposure meter, meaning you need an external light meter or the “sunny 16” rule to set your exposure.

The camera kit includes:

Asahi Pentax SL black finish SLR film camera (a meterless version similar to the Spotmatic series); the “Spotmatic” has been featured on our page before.

Attached Lens: Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8 standard lens

Extra Lens: Asahi Pentax telephoto/accessory lens

Accessories: A vintage clip-on analog light meter made for classic Pentax film cameras and a vintage brown leather Takumar camera bag.

Note: Takumar lenses from this era are famous for sharp images.

Original 1977 vinyl of Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers.

Exodus is widely considered Bob Marley’s absolute masterpiece and the defining body of work that catapulted him into global superstardom. Several key elements make this particular record historic. Created in the wake of an assassination attempt in December 1976, gunmen ambushed Bob Marley’s home in Jamaica, wounding him, his wife Rita, and his manager just days before a major peace concert. Following the traumatic event, Marley went into a period of exile in London, where the entire album was written and tracked. The heavy, contemplative mood of the songs reflects a man processing a near-death experience.

The Olympus Camedia C-4000 Zoom is a “vintage” consumer-grade digital compact camera featuring a silver-and-gray plastic body. It is recognizable by its prominent, ergonomic right-hand grip, which houses the battery compartment. Launched by Olympus on June 25, 2002, the C-4000 Zoom was introduced as an affordable, feature-packed alternative to their high-end C-4040 model. At release, it carried an original retail price (MSRP) of $449 USD.

Lens: Equipped with an Olympus 6.5–19.5mm f/2.8 zoom lens (3x optical zoom, equivalent to 32–96mm on a 35mm camera).

Sensor: Utilizes a 3.9-megapixel CCD sensor that produces distinct, early-2000s Y2K digital imagery.

Controls: Includes a physical mode dial on top, an optical viewfinder, a small 1.8-inch LCD screen on the back, and full manual exposure options (PASM modes).

Power & Storage: Runs on four standard AA batteries (or two CR-V3 blocks) and records data onto an SD card.

👉 Slight damage to the LCD screen, but doesn’t affect the operation of the camera.
