2017年，承接長輩的祝福，我們落腳於太太外公外婆家，開始了希望之庭工作室，滿有歷史與精緻的房子隱藏在市區的小巷弄內，保有風和光流動穿透的空間。

我們在原本外公種蘭花與外婆種玫瑰的花園內栽種植物，往長長的巷弄望出去，是恬靜的風景。

喜愛自然，創作也圍繞著動植物為主題：先生畫畫、設計、烙燒；太太花藝創作。
現多聚焦累積關於台灣特有種動植物繪畫系列作品，以水彩或其他媒材手繪，輔以電腦設計及數位噴染技術，使用天然布料，後以手工方式製作生活物品，每個環節與呈現，是我們花費許多晝夜思考討論而成。

創作是生活的

一部份，自然是我們的老師，透過繪畫蒐集資料的過程，我們學習更多認識所在的土地，像是轉譯者，把自然的美好帶到人們的生活。

我與作品一起開心分享了來自英國的包裹，裡頭裝載著「卓越展出獎-藝術家自選媒材 Exhibiting Excellence Award for Artist's Chosen Medium」正式獎狀

雖歷經一週前的暴雨影響和未來兩天後颱風可能侵襲的中間時刻，但無損其意義與價值，昨日郵差先生終於將它平安送抵了台灣的家！很謝謝英國 SBA 在寄送過程中的貼心協助與關心！
​
這份榮譽的載體，給了這些年默默一步步踏實前進的我們更多信心，過程並非童話般夢幻，也不是神話般偉岸，而是一點一滴的嘗試、除錯和累積而來，就像是「勇者一行人」的冒險旅程 ⚔️
​
想將這份喜悅，分享給一路上看著我們成長、並給予支持的每一位。
也想感謝在烈日下、風雨中與寒冬時參與在市集並且從未真正放棄的我們自己。

Standing together with incredible artists from around the world is a beautiful thing, and translating the beauty of nature through every single artist's brush is a pure honor .

SBA 「Plantae 2026」 線上展覽還有最後 9 天。
在喜悅的高峰後，我們讓自己安靜沉澱了幾天。
這段忙碌與思緒整理的留白中，我們獲得了一個深刻的反思：
如果褪去了得獎的光環，我們到底是誰？
​
起初我們帶著純粹出發，在旅行中探索世界，透過藝術來描繪表達，進而聚焦於自身的土地。
沒有掌聲時這麼做，有掌聲時也如此做，
我們所做的，就是倒空自己，面對被描繪的對象，去感受它們，
每一天，在如同訓練場的工作桌前，在看似重複單調的練習中，
克服自己的害怕與弱項，嘗試呈現它們最真實的樣子；
等到合適的時候，作品自然為這段路程的累積發出了聲音！
​
外在的標籤與點子隨時會被拿走，風格或許可以被模仿，但這些反而使我們看得更清晰：
從最初的火花，到探索的旅程，回到我們最真實的本質。
​

With only 9 days remaining for the SBA 'Plantae 2026' online exhibition, we have allowed ourselves a few days of quiet stillness following the high of the award. In this pause of busy days and untangling thoughts, we found the space to look deeply within: who are we really, when we strip away the glow of the award?
​
We initially set out with pure intent - traveling to discover the world, drawing to express through art, and eventually focusing our vision on our own land.What we do is empty ourselves, facing the subjects of our interpretation and truly feeling them. Day after day, at our studio desk that feels like a training ground, we immerse ourselves in the repetitive practice of painting, overcoming our fears and weaknesses to deliver their truest form. When the time is right, the works speak for themselves.
​
External labels and ideas can be taken away at any moment, and styles may be imitated. Yet, this only brings us greater clarity: it reminds us of the spark of origin, the journey of discovery, and the essence of who we really are.

我得獎了！！完全沒有想到的驚喜.. 早上我邊刷牙邊顫抖..

今天早上收到了一封來自英國的得獎信件，內心激動至今仍難以平息。
​
​
由英國植物學藝術家協會 SBA - The Society of Botanical Artists 所舉辦的國際年展「Plantae 2026」中，我的作品 《章魚植物：梅杜莎空氣鳳梨》（Octopus Plant: 𝘛𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘪𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘶𝘵-𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘦 ）獲得了獎項殊榮——「卓越展出獎：藝術家自選媒材類別」（Exhibiting Excellence Award for Artist's Chosen Medium）。
​
​
我真的非常非常感謝評審們與理事會給予的肯定。 謝謝一路上支持著我畫畫的每一位，特別謝謝我的太太，她永遠都欣賞我的每一幅作品。
​
​昨天我剛好正坐在畫桌前，撰寫一些關於這幅作品的幕後故事。這是我對自己的一項大膽挑戰：
​
空氣鳳梨梅杜莎在花園裡生長了幾年，出過側芽並分株。在某天澆水時，我經歷了短暫的錯覺，發現它的樣子讓我瞬間看到了一隻真實遨遊在海裡的章魚。只是我眼前的這隻「章魚」，漂浮在空氣之中，我請我的太太也一起來觀看，她的感受與我一模一樣。
​
它的葉片粗壯有力，彷彿這一刻在張牙舞爪擺弄觸手，下一刻就要將腿伸直猛然衝往前方消失不見。這個充滿想像力與張力的畫面，催促著我將這樣的感受繪製下來。
​
於是我嘗試在紙張上找出它最適當的位置，既要保持它的動態感，也要考量達到整體的空間平衡。基本上，在它隱形的外觀輪廓上是一個倒三角形，我認為它適合使用正方形的畫紙，並在接近正方形的中央點不遠處尋找立足點。
​
於是，它最具有重量的構造，被安置在畫面的偏右上方，同時預留它衝出畫面後的消失點在超出整張畫面的右上角之後；左與下方則是讓它有伸展觸手的空間，是一個漂浮在空氣中、也是海洋中的空間。然而這個想法在執行上只要有些許偏離，整張圖極有可能就會失去平衡。
​
當我愈走在寫實的生態藝術上，我也愈發感到這是一座連結自然與人中間的橋樑。2023 年拜訪邱園（Kew Gardens）時，在睡蓮溫室所看見的解說牌深深提醒了我：「植物插圖是幫助植物學家和園藝學家觀察植物物種在形狀、顏色或大小上的工具，它比照片更有用，因為它們能讓人專注於那些容易被忽略的細節。」
​
​我很開心能為這個世界貢獻出我的視角。

I’m incredibly honored to receive one of the exhibition’s awards!! An absolute surprise I never saw coming... I was literally shaking this morning while brushing my teeth.

First thing this morning, an award email from the UK arrived, and my heart is still racing.

At the "Plantae 2026" international annual exhibition hosted by The Society of Botanical Artists (SBA), my work "Octopus Plant: Tillandsia caput-medusae" has been honored with the Exhibiting Excellence Award for "Artist's Chosen Medium"!

I am deeply grateful to the judges and the Council members for this recognition. Thank you to everyone who has supported my artistic journey along the way. And a special thanks to my wife—she is always the very first person to appreciate and love every single piece I create.

Artwork Description: While watering and observing my Octopus Plant, I experienced a brief illusion: I was looking at a plant, yet simultaneously seeing the form of an animal. Its linear, gray-green leaves twisted and curled inward like the powerful tentacles of an octopus, while the bulbous base mirrored the shape of a head and eyes.

Many plant names are inspired by such shared biological traits. With this piece, I wanted to offer a perspective that blends botanical precision with a sense of wonder—encouraging viewers to engage their imagination and ask:

作品說明：某天我在幫我的空氣鳳梨澆水和觀察時，經歷了短暫的錯覺：我看到的是一株植物，卻同時看到了某種動物的形態。它線形的灰綠色葉片像章魚強壯的觸手一樣扭曲捲曲，而球狀的基部則非常像章魚的頭部和眼睛。

許多植物的名字都源自於這種共同的生物特徵。我希望透過這件作品，呈現一種融合了植物學的精確性和奇妙感的視角——鼓勵觀者發揮想像力，並思考：

Artwork Description: Dancing in the sunlight, its spiraling form is full of grace and allure, reaching forward to explore the unknown.

Centella asiatica is widely found from tropical to warm temperate regions. It has long been valued for its healing properties and, in Taiwan’s Hakka culture, is used for treating headaches or cooked with pork as a nourishing dish. Today, it is also known for its skincare benefits. This painting conveys its resilience, graceful growth, and enduring vitality.
​
作品說明：在日光裡舞蹈，旋轉的身姿充滿吸引力，延伸的手向前探索著未知。
​
廣泛分布熱帶到暖溫帶的雷公根，在古代就有記載藥用的功能，外敷消腫止癢，臺灣的客家族群則使用它治療偏頭痛、腸胃發炎，或與豬肉燉煮成為孩子成長的滋補食品。近代因為它在美妝保養產品的優良功效而廣為人知。

畫作試圖傳遞其適應力強，匍匐生長的優美姿態與生命力。

美麗的好消息 🎉

非常榮幸，我的兩件作品同時獲選在今年英國植物學藝術協會 SBA - The Society of Botanical Artists 的國際年展「Plantae2026 」展出
​
得知，今年全球共有將近 1,200 幅優秀作品投件，評審團以嚴謹的標準篩選，將展出數量減至 400 幅左右，而每位藝術家至多僅兩件作品，能在這樣高水準的專業殿堂被看見，是再一次無比珍貴的肯定，這是我第四度獲選。
​
感謝專業的評審團，恭喜所有入選的藝術家！
​
在其中一幅大家尚未見過的作品中，我對自己進行了一場大膽的挑戰。一開始我也產生了擔心，「但沒有去嘗試，你又如何知道呢？」， 而且這是這株植物所傳達給我的訊息，它在我的花園中，陪伴我很久很久的時間，我深刻凝視過它在光影下的每個姿態，我相信它活生生的生命帶給我的靈感。
​
🌿 SBA 2026 Plantae 線上展覽將於 6/1 正式開展至 6/30，歡迎大家一起上線，走進這場來自全球植物學藝術家所構築的植物藝術盛宴。

Wonderful news🎉
​
I am deeply honored to announce that two of my pieces have been selected for Plantae2026, the annual international exhibition of the Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) in the UK.
​
This year, nearly 1,200 incredible pieces were submitted from all over the world. Through a rigorous selection process, the judging panel narrowed the final exhibition down to around 400 pieces, with a maximum of two works per artist. To have my work recognized once again in such a prestigious professional setting is an invaluable honor and marks my fourth time being selected.
​
Thank you to the professional jury, and congratulations to all the selected artists!
​
In one of the pieces that you haven't seen yet, I took a bold leap and challenged myself. At first, I had my doubts, but as the saying goes, "You'll never know unless you try."
​
More importantly, this was the message the plant conveyed to me with such clarity. It has spent a long time in my garden, and I have gazed deeply at its every posture under changing light and shadow. I believed in the inspiration of its living spirit.
​
🌿The exhibition will be available online from June 1st to June 30th, 2026. I warmly invite you to explore all the wonderful artworks selected.

切換描繪不同的主題是有趣的事情，相較動態明確變化多端的鳥類或其他動物來說，植物或許令人感覺較安靜，但在一次次以植物為主題繪製的過程裡，會發現其實它們很活潑：
​
對於光線較敏感的植物構造如莖的頂端、葉片等每天都會隨著光線改變方向，雖然當下感覺很緩慢細微，但經過長時間的精細描繪過後再看看它們，彷彿玩著123木頭人遊戲般，已悄悄挪動了一些位置，又構成了新的畫面。
​
而我們何其榮幸，可以在這生命交會的時刻將描繪的對象捕捉呈現在畫面上，感知和表達。
