滑竹梁子中的古茶園是由壩檬、蚌龍、保塘等村寨的古茶園共同組成，是哈尼族、拉祜族、漢族三種民族居住地。
滑竹梁子山因竹而得名，但是卻因茶而出名。因此地有大片粗如酒杯，竹節長而光滑的野竹遍地散生，當地人又把延綿雄偉的大山脈稱作「梁子」，滑竹梁子由此來。拿房梁做類比，有種親切感，讓你隨處可見雲南人含蓄又率真的性格。
