The aroma of food kissed by fire is always immediate.
Chicken with lightly charred edges, scallops seared to a perfect golden brown,
the briny sweetness of clams, the gentle sweetness of corn,
and the soft richness of salmon slowly bring the whole table to life.
Some evenings do not need to be formal.
A skewer here, a bite there, one small plate after another—
that is enough to turn the weight of the day into the simple comfort of a satisfying meal.
What makes a meal memorable is rarely just one dish.
It is the warm light on the wooden table, the steam rising as the plates arrive,
and that familiar feeling of saying, “just one more bite.”
