光盒劇場 Light Box Theater

劇場以空間量體去思考，創造不同使用情境的盒子，並依照既有建築結構模矩給予適當之量體配置。最後考量外部人行動線，創造適合劇場使用之出入口，例如與前廣場連結的新設出入口，或是改為表演人員進出的既有出入口。
宿舍空間改造為劇場空間，需要重新定義動線，並營造入口作為引導觀眾的一個重要指標。首先將入口改至宿舍前的廣場，提供大量人潮進入室內前的緩衝空間。再來，入口色系使用鮮豔的橘紅色，提高入口自明性及辨別度。我們希望這個入口是學校重要且深刻的形象塑造。
所謂實驗劇場，又稱為黑盒子。泛指空間內部漆成黑色，無明顯的觀眾席及舞台區，也因為觀眾席與舞台區的模糊關係，空間自由度極大。我們將黑盒子的概念作為本劇場空間的主軸，並將空間染為藍色，重新定義這個穩定且沉穩空間，希望不只作為實驗劇場使用，而是增加學校更多元活動的產生。
The theater is conceptualized through spatial volume to create ”boxes“ for different usage scenarios, with the volumes appropriately allocated based on the existing building’s structural modules. Finally, considering external pedestrian circulation, optimal entrances and exits for theater use are established. This includes a newly designed entrance connecting to the front plaza, as well as modifying an existing entrance for performers‘ access.
Renovating the dormitory into a theater space requires redefining the circulation and creating an entrance that serves as a crucial guide for the audience. First, the entrance is relocated to the plaza in front of the dormitory to provide a buffer zone for large crowds before entering the building. Next, a vibrant orange-red color palette is applied to the entrance to enhance its prominence and recognizability. We hope this entrance becomes an important and memorable image for the school.
The so-called experimental theater is also known as a ”Black Box.“ It generally refers to an interior space painted entirely in black, with no distinct seating or stage areas. Because of this blurred relationship between the audience and the stage, the space offers immense freedom. We adopt the concept of the Black Box as the main theme of this theater space but dye the environment blue to redefine this stable and serene space, hoping it serves not only as an experimental theater but also generates more diverse activities for the school.
