皮耶·夏洛 Pierre Chareau

生於法國，雖無正統建築學歷，卻大膽將工業金屬、溫潤材質與齒輪滑軌結合，創造出必須「親手操作」的動態家具。這份機械美學於1932年放大至空間尺度，成就了傳奇代表作《玻璃之家》。

皮耶·夏洛也是罕見雙棲建築與家具設計的前衛大師。他遊走於裝飾藝術 Art Deco 與現代主義 Modernism 之間，將家具視為微型建築，大膽揉合工業金屬與溫潤石材（如經典的修女燈）。他揚棄靜態裝飾，以齒輪與滑軌創造必須「親手操作」的機械美學。這套動態理念在代表作《玻璃之家》中放大至空間尺度，外露的鋼骨與管線深刻啟發了後世的高科技建築與收藏級設計，是跨越時代的先鋒。
