有時候老屋最迷人的地方，就是那些捨不得丟掉的東西。一座陪伴多年的實木樓梯、一座古董鐘，還有屋主收藏的老家具，都有著新家具無法取代的味道。
這次我們沿著這些老件的風格，重新規劃廚房、餐廳與公共空間。廚房選用義大利手感磚，搭配長虹玻璃、藤編與木質櫃體，再加入帶有復古氣息的木質吊扇。
透過不同材質的紋理與色彩，延續老屋原有的個性，讓新舊設計自然地融合在一起。老屋翻修，最值得思考的或許是：哪些東西值得留下來。
Sometimes, the most charming part of an old home is what you can’t bear to part with.
The original wooden staircase, an antique clock, and furniture collected over the years all have a character that new pieces simply can’t replace.
Taking inspiration from these pieces, we redesigned the kitchen, dining and living areas. Italian handmade tiles, fluted glass, rattan details and wooden cabinetry bring texture to the kitchen, while a vintage-style wooden ceiling fan ties everything together. Each material was chosen to complement the home’s original character, allowing old and new to sit naturally side by side.
Perhaps the most important part of renovating an old home is deciding what is worth keeping.
