Plein air painting among the beautiful landscapes of Zakarpattia, Ukraine.

We love seeing artist Natasha Gvozdikova capturing the warm colors, haystacks and atmosphere of the countryside directly from life.

A beautiful view doesn’t automatically make a strong painting.

One of the hardest parts of plein air and landscape painting is deciding what to leave in — and what to leave out.

A transparent composition viewfinder helps isolate the scene before you begin painting. Join us for a creative October: draw, experiment, and share your artistic discoveries, big and small. 🤍

How to take part:

✍️ From October 1–31, create at least 5 artworks inspired by the Inktober 2026 prompts. For our contest, you’re welcome to use your favorite materials, work in black and white, or add color.

📸 Share your artworks on Instagram, tag ShrubmArt Pochade Boxes & Easels, and use .

🤍 Follow ShrubmArt Pochade Boxes & Easels.

🖼 By the end of October, post a final collage of your artworks, tagging ShrubmArt Pochade Boxes & Easels and using . Your profile must be public so we can see your entries.
