TYSHA cabinet by Tetiana Krasutska

Wildness. Tenderness. Strength

TYSHA means “silence” in Ukrainian.
It is an island cabinet with mirrors on the back.
that invites you to look inside yourself.

I was inspired by a memory I had from my childhood.
Standing in the calm sea, I believed I could control the waves.
That naïve, childlike faith in your own strength…
It’s something we all need to remember.

TYSHA is a fusion of a woman’s body and a seashell —
a fusion of wildness and strength.
I wanted the surface to look like scales — protective, like armor.
The intarsia is made of hundreds of carved pieces from different types of wood
The handles, shaped like shells
soft, organic, feminine.
an invitation to touch, to feel, to connect.

TYSHA is a sculptural cabinet that blends the organic lines of a seashell with the softness of the human body.
Its name means “Silence” in Ukrainian.

The two-section cabinet is adorned with intricate wooden mosaic intarsia.Meticulously crafted from hundreds of curved wooden fragments, each cabinet is entirely handmade. This process takes months of patient, precise work.
At the front, two compartments
open through recessed handles shaped like shells. The interior is lined with pewter.
This is a sculptural island cabinet that reveals itself differently from every side. On the
back of the cabinet, polished steel mirrors are mounted, symbolizing introspection. You don’t
simply look at this object. You are invited to look inward.

Tuman Collection.Follow the Instinct

In Ukrainian mythology Mavka is a forest nymph who embodies both seduction and danger- has influenced our thinking.
She became the muse behind our vision.
We began to imagine her world — soft couches shaped like branches, where one can sit or lie down and feel sheltered, embraced by nature.
Mavka is playful like a child, which is why we created a rocking chair where she could swing, dream, and breathe with the rhythm of the forest.
