The Talmud teaches that one should pray only in a room with windows.
That’s why, in a synagogue, a window is more than architecture. It connects people to the world beyond the walls, a reminder that prayer never shuts life out. When we crafted the window surrounds for a synagogue in the United States, that idea shaped every decision. Tall arches, pilasters with capitals, ornament between the windows, a restrained warmth of timber. A frame worthy of the light that passes through it.
Our workshop is in Zvyahel. Our work stands across the world. And America is only just opening up for us.
