The ETNOS U style was created to develop Ukrainian heritage and help the world understand our identity

The ETNOS U philosophy in architecture and interior design always incorporates traditional elements, such as Petrykivka painting on walls or in artworks, Kosiv decorative painting on ceramics, and Polissia embroidery in textiles

The JYTTIA Kvitka series is our way of telling the world about Ukrainian culture through contemporary design.

We created this collection to make it clear: Petrykivka painting is Ukrainian.

This art was born in Ukrainian villages, passed down through generations — and it’s still alive today.

Now we bring it into modern interiors.

So they know — it’s Ukrainian.

JYTTIA Kvitka»

In August, designer Nataliia Gogoleva “JYTTIA Kvitka” exhibition took place at the Taras Shevchenko National Museum in Kyiv

The exhibition aimed to promote Petrykivka painting as an integral part of Ukrainian cultural heritage and explore its potential in contemporary interior design

At the heart of the project is the symbolic idea of life finding the strength to bloom even after the hardest trials. It is a story of resilience, renewal, and faith in Ukraine’s future

In this bedroom, colour highlights individual details: crimson textiles stand out against grey walls and white furniture. The mirror makes the room feel more spacious, while the table by the window makes good use of natural light.

The breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the living room while maintaining a visual connection between them. Light-coloured furniture, an open layout and multiple light sources complement the interior, while the yellow chairs create a striking accent

Sometimes, a single colour sets the mood of an interior. Here, lemon-yellow accents bring the understated white and graphite palette to life, while soft textures and the warm glow of pendant lights add a sense of comfort.

A kitchen for morning coffee, a sofa for long conversations — different rhythms of life come together in one open space.

49. What do you think about future; what do you see will happen in thousand years from now?

In my opinion, now a design tends to simplification in everything - in forms, in colors, in composition, but at the same time it lacks something what gives a home comfort

Therefore, I cannot say where the design will come in thousand years from now, but I know exactly that many factors influence this field, including natural ones, that encourage constant changes and solution of more and more global problems in society.

Perhaps, in thousand years we will design and develop houses on other planets. Who knows…

A modern house surrounded by forest combines understated architecture, large glass surfaces, and warm lighting. Panoramic windows open the space to nature and help keep the interior bright even on cloudy days.

In projects like this, it is important to consider how the house interacts with the site. The layout of rooms, terraces, windows, and relaxation areas should be carefully planned with the terrain, natural light, and surrounding environment in mind.
