This is the first prototype for a monitor display riser that I am developing. This version is 38” long and accommodates 2 24” monitors. It also has a large aluminum shelf with an integrated “cord corral” to keep rogue wires at bay allowing you to secure them to the shelf either with Velcro strips or zip ties. The tray will also be powder coated matte black like the legs. I’ve also designed an EDC tray to hold your everyday carry pocket items. The wood top of this version is red oak with epoxy inlays. I’d like to get feedback on what you think of this. Would you find this useful. Would it help you to organize your own desk, helping to bring calm to your work environment?

A dedicated resting place for digital calipers.

The DATUM Caliper Crib holds your calipers in a natural angled resting position while keeping them easy to grab during use. Instead of a tight slot that only fits certain models, the design references the two features common to most calipers — the beam and fixed jaw — allowing it to work with the majority of digital calipers.

The front cradle includes a protective jaw tip shroud that subtly captures the caliper so the stand can be moved without the tool slipping out.

An integrated tray underneath provides space for small bench items like glasses, pens, deburring tools, or small files.

Rustic style sign for a client. Pine boards, stained provincial brown first. After dry applied whitewash paint. Applied masking tape then used our laser to cut the lettering outlines. Spray painted black. Once complete, followed up with sanding to distress the overall finish.
