Oh how true were those words this past weekend..but we did it..we processed our first pig, 100 lbs hanging weight.
We loved and cared for it and now the same love and care will provide for our family.

Hello beautiful people! Another chicken season is done here at El Sereno.
Eventhough it's hard and not the cheapest way to go we make it work one day at a time. I really enjoy being able to share this knowledge with our kids, family and whoever is open to learn.
God promised abundance and abundance we have..but i also believe we kind of have to meet him half ways.

We have not been around here much but believe me we are still here, we see you and we support you. We have been busy working not only at the ranch but in what makes us....US... and honestly so far it feels right.
Keep going, keep laughing, keep crying but most important keep loving and growing. Much love to all of you.

Maybe not a "year supply" but baby steps in the right direction.
These were grown with the forgotten potatoes in my pantry. I planted them in a fabric grow bag like the one pictured and covered them with soil. Don't have a bag? What about a bucket? What about a plastic tote? You don't have to have expensive gardening supplies just start where you are with what you have. Much love to you all. Have a blessed day.

This year I decided to slow down.. not at home but in life outside my piece of serenity...now I'm busy because I want to and not because I have to or because that's what is expected of me..and things are still ok Since then we moved the garden next to the orchard and its coming along..we graded part of our property and thats coming along, our Neverending to do list its coming along..My life it's not by any means less busy but feeling ok not to just give away my energy..that too is coming along.
