Continued to be a partnership with her architect husband, John, in Robinson-Whitaker Design. Education:
Joan is a longtime local of Hawaii, graduating from Kalani High School. Joan received her Interior Design degree from the University of California, which included two years of study at the well-respected American College of Lucerne, Switzerland. After completing her education and the proscribed years of experience in the field, she was eligible to sit for the rigorous national NCIDQ exam, qualifying her to become a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
