Her home base is at the Aiken Antique Mall on Laurens St, right in the heart of Downtown Aiken. Betsy Wilson-Mahoney is a lifetime Aiken resident. After graduating with honors from the University of South Carolina with a studio art degree, Betsy returned to Aiken to make her home and built her career. From 1984 through 1991 she worked for Regal Textiles first as staff designer then was promoted to
lead designer. In 1991, Betsy began her mural business - completing hundreds of murals in schools, hospitals, homes and businesses throughout the CSRA. She has painted murals on location in NYC, Gatlinburg, TN and coastal South Carolina. In 1999, she held her first art show at the Aiken Center for the Arts, the event was highly successful and a near sell out of Betsy’s art. Since that time, she has illustrated two books; the sold out “The Aiken Book, A Watercolor Tour” and “When I think of Aiken” and several independent art shows. Recently she painted the watercolor “Farmer’s Market” and “Aiken Train Depot” for the city of Aiken. Additionally she was privileged to paint the portraits of six board members for Augusta and Atlanta businesses and four retired Aiken honorable judges. These portraits are currently hanging in the Aiken Courthouse. Betsy works on commissioned portraits, pet portraits and landscapes throughout the year. Booking:
