We took several years to restore the house to its present condition, including the addition of a large wrap-around porch. During the restoration process, careful attention was paid to maintain the historical intregrity and charm of this rustic structure. The 1886 Log House began as a two bedroom, two story cabin and was first nestled on a 120 acre farm a few miles from it's current location in Nor
th Central Minnesota. From the time it was built, The 1886 Log House has had a fascinating history. The original cabin owners raised 13 children, along with no inside plumbing and a ladder leading to the upstairs bedrooms. Cold winters, and an a strong up north character has always been a part of this historical landmark. The cabin was moved it's current location in 1992. Presently we display 2,100 square feet of vintage antiques and collectables. We invite you to step back in time and visit our shop. We believe you will like the up-north setting with many fine pieces of oak and pine furniture along with crocks, pottery, fine glassware, jewlery, linens, fishing lures, duck decoys and a whole lot more! We are open from Mid-May until Mid-October
