One of the most common office layout problems is surprisingly simple: there is not enough room to move your chair.
You can have the right desk, the right chair, and a layout that looks great on paper, but if there is no space to pull back comfortably, it gets annoying fast.
A good rule of thumb is to leave about three feet behind the desk when you can. It is a small detail, but it makes a big difference in how the space actually works day to day.
Before you commit to a layout, measure the chair clearance too.
