The extreme heat doesn't make it feel much like autumn outside, but the air conditioning is running and the fall decor is appearing everywhere inside at The Knowlton House antique and gift shop. Stop in and peruse the beautiful colors of autumn.

Well, look what we have here! We know there is someone out there who is decorating in the dark academia style, or looking to complete a gallery wall, who really needs these!

Two beautiful vintage original (acrylic on board) paintings in ornate gilded frames - circa 1990's. They are painted in the style of the old Dutch masters, and simply signed "Scott". The paintings themselves measure 5"x7", and with the frames they each measure 12.5"x15", making them the perfect size for any room. You've got to see these in person. They are stunning!

We are gradually changing the looks of our shop from patriotic decor into all things autumn. When you visit you'll start to notice the colors of fall showing up more and more in our vignettes. And believe it when we say that we've still got lots more fresh finds to drag out!

Here's another really cool find! It's an antique "Perfection" wooden, wall mount, 8-arm clothes drying rack (1880's). Someone needs this in their laundry room or bathroom!

There are times when we get really excited about an amazing find that we are able to acquire. This is one of those times!

Presenting... this gorgeous antique handmade primitive pine Carpenter's Tool Chest! Made by a very skilled craftsman in the mid-1800's. Though we've tried, the photos do not do this piece justice. Besides being a great storage piece, it would make an awesome coffee table, or blanket chest. The locking mechanism and the large two-sided skeleton key alone make this truly a one-of-a-kind find.
