FQB Legacy and the Gee’s Bend Quilters are thrilled to be headed to QuiltCon 2026 as the featured nonprofit of the year.
QuiltCon is the largest modern quilting event in the world, welcoming 25,000+ attendees to a four-day celebration of creativity, craft, and community.

This year, Gee’s Bend takes center stage!

🪡 25 quilts by Gee’s Bend Quilters will be on exhibition.
🧵 Live Quilting Demos, something that has never been done before at QuiltCon.
🛍️ Quilters will sell quilts and other handmade quilt items directly.
🎤 Kim V. Kelly, Executive Director of FQB Legacy, will serve as a keynote speaker.

Her keynote, “County Road 29: Fifteen miles in rural Alabama that changed the world,” reflects on the history, resilience, and artistry of Gee’s Bend while boldly looking toward the future of our extraordinary community.
