This weekend we switched gears and decided to go old school on this bbq pig! We started before daybreak shoveling oak coals from a fire barrel, and by 4 o’clock the yard was full of family, friends, and neighbors ready to eat! It was nothing fancy- just old school wood cooked Eastern NC BBQ!

We hit the road this weekend for our first SCA comp of the year and traveled to one of our favorite comps in Rutherford College, NC. This was our fourth year competing here and it has never disappointed! It’s always a great time seeing our SCA family and we can’t wait to do it again!
