Sometimes you love the shape of something, but the fabric isn’t quite right.

This client brought me a brand-new, neutral-colored headboard to recover in this beautiful earth-toned Charlotte Fabrics ikat design. The new fabric completely changes the personality of the piece, adding pattern, warmth, and so much more character to the room.

Reupholstery doesn’t always have to mean giving something old a second life — it can also mean taking something new and making it feel completely your own.

One of my favorite parts of this work is helping clients create pieces that feel truly personal to their homes.

Come see me in my element! I will be opening my doors for the day at oUTSKIRT-STUDIOS for Maine Crafts Association weekend.

While you’re here, check out the other artists in the building, have a snack from the food cart, have a drink by the fire pit and check out what we’re working on. We’d love to see you!

Out with the old, in with the new!

Our client in Rockland requested a new set of cushions that would provide more support in the seat and lower back support. We went with a bolstered seat and wedge back cushion to make for a comfortable place to unwind. Swipe for progress shot and before.

We are still accepting projects for the winter! Reach out if you’d like to give your boat (or home) some upgrades just in time for spring 🌺☀️🛥️
