Old Mill Yarn We are a discount yarn store in West Michigan, dealing in Mill End Yarns. These are mostly industria Linton Davidson, the Grandson of John B.

John B Davidson founded the Davidson Woolen Mills of Eaton Rapids Michigan in 1921 and Five generations of Davidson's have owned and worked the mill until January 1st, 2018. Davidson, has officially retired. The Eaton Rapids store is now closed and Linton is in the process of clearing out the old mill building. A new story is picking up where Linton Davidson and family left off, with the purchase

of Old Mill Yarn by Joe & Deb Leverence in the Historic Milling District of Allegan Michigan. We look forward to carrying on the great tradition that was known as Davidson’s Old Mill Yarn. New things are planned to grow the business so we can pass on good quality yarn at great prices to those that weave, knit, crochet and play with fiber. Incorporating Old Mill Yarn with Baker Allegan Studios will provide our Customers with a full immersion into the Fiber Arts experience. We look forward to serving old friends and to making new ones as we embark on this new venture.

New project with some of the yarn from Old Mill Yarn. These are going to be shawls. The yarns are silk, rayon & the ribbon for inspiration. The weft is a 3 stranded, 2 ply silk in navy. Pictures don't do it justice so come see us and touch this beautiful piece.

PLEASE NOTE: CHANGE IN HOURS FOR US-CLOSED SUNDAY
Michigan Fiber Festival is coming August 13th for workshops and August 15th for Vendors. Our hours are different this year. We will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10-5. This year we will NOT be open on Sunday.

This is NOT an optical illusion.... this is Deb's new toy. We bought it for a friend, but it turned out to be Waaaay too big for her. I disassembled her, washed her down, oiled and adjusted her and now Deb is taking her for a spin. She was made in Grand Rapids in 2005 by Ken Lennox. Her name is Fiona, and is an Irish Castle Wheel. Made of solid Cherry, she is a beautiful wheel. Very heavy and Huge.
