Let's talk WATER DAMAGE: When water damage hits your floor, the instinct is often to replace everything. But if you're choosing your floors between HARDWOOD vs LVP, hardwood has some clear advantages that many homeowners over look.
REPAIRS can be localized
With HARDWOOD:
-Individual boards can be removed and replaced
-Repairs can be blended into the existing floor that isn't damaged by water.
-hardwood tends to show water damage more clearly making easier to identify the problem
With LVP:
-Even though its a floating floor, damage often requires pulling up large sections to reach affected planks
-matching older planks can be difficult if the style is discontinued
-water damaged LVP can trap moisture underneath
so now while the trend is LVP you can never go wrong with the classic HARDWOOD FLOORING
