Penn Windows & Doors I'm Erin Duffield, 2nd generation owner of Penn Windows & Doors. Penn Windows & Doors has been a local institution since 1948.

I've been working at Penn Windows since 2000, purchasing the company from my father (Rick Hauler) in 2020 and bringing on my son, Michael Duffield to help keep the family business going. Their showroom is located at 1518 Union Boulevard in Allentown, PA. They offer free in-home consultations for their custom vinyl windows, steel and fiberglass doors, storm doors, and patio doors. Call the office at 610-433-4196 to speak with Erin.

A window should open, close, and lock without becoming a household event.

If yours is sticking, dragging, or refusing to close properly, the cause could be a warped frame, worn hardware, balance problem, weather-related change, or simple age.

We always recommend resisting the urge to force it. That can turn a manageable problem into a larger one.

It is a familiar concern for homeowners throughout Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the surrounding Lehigh Valley.

Replacing an entry door isn't always as simple as changing the slab.

The existing frame matters, too. If it's deteriorated, poorly fitted, or contributing to gaps and other performance issues, replacing the complete door system may make more sense than installing a new slab into an unsuitable frame.

That's why we look at the whole entry, not just the part you see from the front step.

For homeowners from Allentown and Bethlehem to Easton and the surrounding Lehigh Valley, that kind of assessment can make a big difference in the finished result.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we help homeowners compare their options and install the door systems we sell, with a focus on quality products, professional installation, and straightforward service.

That foggy spot isn't always something you can simply wipe away.

When moisture appears between the panes of an insulated glass window, it can indicate that the seal has failed. Beyond making the glass look cloudy, a compromised seal can affect the window's clarity and performance.

It's an easy detail to overlook until it becomes impossible to ignore.

If you've noticed it on a home near Allentown's West Park, around Bethlehem, or anywhere across the Lehigh Valley, it's worth taking a closer look.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we pay attention to the details inside the window, not just the view outside it.

Condensation between insulated glass panes is more than a cosmetic annoyance.
It can indicate that the window’s seal has failed. Persistent drafts, difficult operation, significant frame deterioration, and repeated problems can also point toward replacement rather than another repair.

We look at the full condition of the window before discussing what comes next.

That approach is especially important in older homes across Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and neighborhoods throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Fall is when we start making small adjustments around the house.

A self-storing screen on a storm door makes one of them especially easy. As the weather shifts, we can move between screen ventilation and full glass protection without swapping out the entire door.

It's a practical detail, but those are often the details we appreciate most.

From homes near West Park in Allentown to neighborhoods around Bethlehem and Easton, we're helping homeowners think about doors not just as an entry point, but as part of how their homes function through the seasons.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we install the storm doors we sell and help homeowners choose solutions suited to their homes and everyday routines.

Not all window fog means the same thing.

Moisture on the inside surface can happen when warm, humid indoor air meets cold glass. But fogging between panes is different. It can indicate a failed insulating seal.
That distinction matters in Pennsylvania homes, especially during cold weather. We want homeowners to understand what they are seeing before they start chasing the wrong problem.

From Old Allentown to the West End and throughout Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley, we know older homes can bring their own window questions.

Choosing new windows or doors is easier when you can see the options where they'll actually live.

Our free in-home consultations bring product samples directly to your home, along with measurements, recommendations, answers to your questions, and project pricing.

It's a more personal way to make decisions. And it means we're looking at your actual windows, architecture, and needs rather than working from a showroom conversation alone.

From Union Boulevard in Allentown to homes around Bethlehem, Emmaus, and across the Lehigh Valley, we bring the consultation to you.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we believe careful preparation is part of good craftsmanship.

A project can look beautiful when it's finished. What matters just as much is how you feel getting there.

One of our customers recently praised the experience from that very first phone call through installation, highlighting our communication, professionalism, and the quality of the finished work.

That's the kind of feedback that means something to us.

We've built relationships with homeowners throughout Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and communities across the Lehigh Valley by treating every project as more than a transaction.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we're proud when our customers remember not only the finished windows or doors, but the experience of working with us.

A damaged window does not automatically mean it needs to be replaced.

If the frame remains structurally sound, problems such as worn weatherstripping, minor hardware issues, sticking sashes, or damaged caulk may be repairable.

We encourage homeowners to look at the condition of the entire window before making a decision. That matters in older homes throughout Allentown, from the West End to Old Allentown, where preserving original character can also be important.

Fall weather has a way of changing its mind halfway through the day.

Awning windows give us an easy way to welcome fresh air while the window opens outward from the top. That design can help keep light rain from coming inside, making it particularly useful during those cool, unsettled days when we want ventilation without opening the house to the weather.

From Allentown neighborhoods near Cedar Beach to homes throughout Bethlehem, Emmaus, and the Lehigh Valley, we're always looking at how the right window style can work with the way a home is actually lived in.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we install custom windows designed around your home, your needs, and the details that matter every day.
