A customer wanted a special gift for one of her clients after a trip to Weeki Wachee, Florida. She gave me a few details, then told me, “I trust your vision.” 🥹

So I “brought a little piece of the trip home,” just as her custom message requested. 🌊🏝️

Sand, crashing waves, tropical flowers and starfish, all handcrafted entirely from wax. 🫶🏾

There’s an entrepreneur behind all those candles. 🕯️😂

This week, that entrepreneur is in Kansas City for the 1 Million Cups Summit! ☕️🧡

Along with building Wicksquisite Candles, I’m an organizer with One Million Cups Lehigh Valley, where I help support other entrepreneurs as they share their businesses, get feedback, make connections, and figure out what comes next.

This week I get to learn, connect, and bring some of that energy back home, both to our 1MC community and to everything I’m building with Wicksquisite.

Always creating. Always learning. And apparently, always finding my way into a room full of entrepreneurs. 😂

🕯️✨ One of my favorite parts of what I do is being trusted with someone’s story.

Recently, I was asked to create a candle that would be gifted to a family in memory of a child whose life touched so many people.

The request was sparkling white angel wings surrounded by vibrant orange flowers to represent pediatric cancer, and every single detail was handcrafted entirely from wax. 🪽🧡

These are the pieces I create from the heart that celebrate, honor, comfort, and help people feel seen.

Out of respect for the family, I’ve removed the identifying details before sharing. 🙏🏾

There’s a lot that happens before a candle is ever finished. 🕯️

Prepping the jars.
Melting the wax.
Adding the fragrance.
Pouring.
Waiting.
Trimming the wicks.

…and maybe a little dancing in between. 💃🏾😂

What a beautiful Saturday and such a meaningful way to start it ☀️✨

Today I had the honor of hosting a youth candle-making birthday celebration, and I’m still smiling. These young creatives were focused, respectful, well-mannered, and full of life. 🕯️💛 It’s always refreshing to see kids growing up with such good heads on their shoulders. They took their time, encouraged one another, and were genuinely proud of what they created.

Moments like this stay with me.

Every time I think this might be my last candle class, experiences like today gently remind me why I keep saying yes to the next one. I’m grateful candle parties are still an offering and that I get to keep sharing creativity in this way. 🎉✨
