A little behind the scenes…
I’m Sara, and my story begins in the Solomon Islands, a beautiful island nation in the South Pacific near Australia. I grew up in Naples, Florida, and later went to college in West Palm Beach.
The ocean has always felt like home. It has shaped the way I see beauty, find peace, and experience creativity.
When I was in design school, I was often told my work had a coastal influence. At the time, I didn’t quite understand it—I considered my style to be rooted in timeless, traditional design. Looking back, I realize that what naturally finds its way into my work isn’t just a style—it’s a feeling. The blues and greens of the sea, the organic textures, the light, and the sense of calm have always been part of who I am.
That connection to creation continues to inspire every space I design. My goal isn’t simply to create a “coastal” home, but to create homes that feel peaceful, grounded, and deeply connected to the beauty of the world around us. 💚
