I’m BACK!!! Literally. I just moved back to my home in Ohio and there are some big changes coming.

I apologize that this page has been inactive for the past year. I put my life and business on hold while I was Oklahoma. To be honest, I felt like my creativity left me for a while.

But, I’ve recently been inspired by meeting a lovely new friend in California who helped me dream again. Since then, I figured that while our home was empty, I would do some of the final projects that I wanted to do from the very beginning!

My house has an identity crisis. Built in the 1980s, it’s not old enough to be vintage or historic and not modern enough for today.

I had to totally rethink how I wanted to approach this dilemma. Stay tuned for progress photos. In the meantime, I’m going to add some “before” photos so we can remind ourselves what the house looked like before… stay tuned

I read a book recently that has greatly challenged the way I ‘feel’ about home. What makes a home?

Now that so many of us are in our homes more due to Covid, I’m hearing SO, SO many people talk about how much they dislike where they live! Home renovations are on the rise and home decor scooped up as soon as it hits the shelves.

I’m sure some of you are thinking that’s great news for the Interior Design and Construction business - and it is if you’re looking at dollar signs.

But, I’m here to tell you that without love for each other, without respect for traditions, without the true heart of what home represents, you can throw all the money in the world at your paint, blow out all the interior walls, and you still won’t find happiness in those 4 walls.

I’m preaching to the choir here. I’m guilty of wanting the instant gratification of a beautiful interior, but being completely empty on the inside. It has greatly affected how I saw my own home at times. I cannot renovate my way out of pain.

My challenge as I grow my business and this page is to share, from the heart, how I transform hearts and homes. I’ve challenged myself to change the way I think about what Home means to me by incorporating more traditions, and getting back to basics.

If I can help you with your home, (or heart) or both, I’m here for you. If you’re wondering what book made me re-examine and challenge myself I’m posting the cover. Sometimes, God uses many different ways to speak to us.

Welcome to my new page. With encouragement from my friends and family I am formally starting a business and putting myself out there. (It's a giant leap of faith!)

I've been thinking about how can I make a difference with Interior Design? What makes me stand out from the crowd? I don't know if you're like me and watch a ton of home improvement shows on HGTV and on YouTube - the reveals are gorgeous and you think "if only I could do that."

I'm going to be honest, the vast majority of those renovations cost the homeowners hundreds of thousands of dollars! But, what about the people who don't have $100,000 to open up walls, put in quartz countertops, and add marble tile? What if I can help homeowners use what they have, source affordable materials, and still make their home beautiful and meaningful to them? (Hint: you don't have to blow out walls to have a gorgeous home!)

Can I help the people who have the funds to renovate? Absolutely! I can make those dreams come true too. I have experience renovating homes and commercial spaces. I don't just love interior design, I am studying at The Interior Design Institute and expect to graduate soon.

Keep an eye out on this page - my husband and I are purchasing a new build home here in Oklahoma. I will still be doing some affordable modifications and upgrades to the space. You guys will get to follow that entire journey and I'll be explaining why I'm making those choices. I'll be answering questions from you all about your homes as well.

I'll be adding photos of past projects in the upcoming days. I'm attaching a photo of our Ohio home after we had it painted white (it was originally gray). See the original photos below in the comments!!

My goal: I want you to "Love Where You Live!"
