Flower Broken Open, Raku Fired Porcelain and Magnolia Pods, 2026

The FireFlower Series of Wallflowers explores the fragility and resilience of porcelain. By subjecting notoriously delicate materials to the unpredictable and extreme process of Raku firing, sculptural flowers are reborn as eternal relics. The inherent risk of failure adds to the preciousness of the artifacts that endure, emerging from intense heat. There is poetry in the language of flowers—symbols of fleeting beauty—transformed into timeless treasures when strengthened by fire. The work reflects the strength and vulnerability within the human spirit, reflecting our propensity to overcome and flourish amidst intense trials.

Rangel’s intention is to share her passion for discovery found in nature and within the creative process. She believes art is an integral part of everyday life and meant to be experienced on an intimate level.

I have been quietly working on something for the past few months… and it’s exciting!!!

I purchased and renovated an A frame cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia…. (!!!!!!) and it’s now available to book on Airbnb.
I present to you Moonrise A Frame 🌖🌛🌙
It’s truly a magical place designed to be a retreat for artists, couples, or any souls in need of rest and inspiration. I’ve stocked it with all my favorite things, including tea, nespresso, candles, and handmade pottery available for sale.
The month of March is almost fully booked but there are spaces available going into the summer and fall and it’s at a discounted rate right now while I generate reviews.
