Window Woman of New England Announces Sale
Amesbury, Massachusetts — February 27, 2026 — Window Woman of New England, a company specializing in the repair and restoration of historic windows, today announced its sale to Isaac C. Johnson. The acquisition signals a new phase of growth while preserving the craftsmanship and customer service that have defined the company’s reputation across New England.
Window Woman of New England, established in 2003, has restored windows from cottages to castles. Some notable projects include the recent restoration of some of the windows at Old South Presbyterian Church in Newburyport. Over the years the company has restored windows in many Newburyport homes from the waterfront to High Street. The company has restored windows at Castle Hill in Ipswich, the Dahod Family Alumni Center at Boston University, Old Salem Town Hall in Salem, New Hampshire and countless other properties in the region.
Under the new ownership, the company will continue operating under its established name and brand, with its experienced team remaining in place to ensure continuity of service.
“Window Woman of New England has earned a reputation for doing restoration the right way through thoughtful craftsmanship and respect for historic homes,” said Johnson. “My goal is simple: preserve what makes this company exceptional. We are stewards of both buildings and craft, and that responsibility matters.”
The transition will not affect day-to-day operations, ongoing projects, or customer relationships. Clients can expect the same commitment to quality restoration work and personalized service.
“It’s been incredibly humbling to have worked on so many great properties, but it’s time to focus on retirement and my volunteer activities,” said founder Alison Hardy. Hardy is Vice President of the Newburyport Preservation Trust, chair of the West Newbury Historic District Commission, member of the Window Preservation Alliance and on the Board of the Topsfield Meetinghouse Foundation.
